Should I Take the Trade?

So I had an offer to trade...thought I'd ask everyone here what they thought. Even if I weren't going to keep them for my car, would it be a good trade to take and then just go and sell. Here it is...

- He gets my 18" stock 370Z rims and tires (near new for both)

- I get 20" gianna blitz chrome with black inserts (I'm assuming they are new but I haven't heard back if it comes with tires).

I'm not necessarily in love with the rims, but if it would be a smart trade to just go and resell myself later, I'd consider it.

Thoughts?

keep the stock ones... sell em and get new ones if anything

^agree - selling the 20's would more than likely get you more money than selling the 350 wheels.

:iagree: Aftermarket rims are a wildcard when it comes to "street value." But not well known JDM or European ones.

Ok, so I heard back from him and the 20" gianna rims will come with the tires...three are perfect and one has minor rash on it. I haven't seen pics yet but from what he says, I'll figure it can be fixed and will be less than $100 to fix. So, figuring the tires are about 2k miles in (no racing or anything...), does that make any difference for the deal?

I'm basically figuring that I'm not going to clear $1000-1100 for rims and tires for the 18" tires. I already have the 19" Rays on the car now...and the 18"s are just sitting in my garage waiting to be sold. So, I'm not really in a rush to sell them. If I could get more for the 20"s but it may take longer, I'm ok with that because I'm not dying to get the money for the 18"s as it is.

So, if I weren't iching to make the money now, what's the better move? I'd consider putting them on my car and selling the Rays but I'm having a hard time picturing them on the car - anyone out there seen them or know what they'd look like?

Well yeah...I didn't say I was nuts about the rims - it was more of a business deal to try and make money...

I searched online to just see what the rims looks like on other cars...can't say I'm a huge fan, but if someone's going to buy them readily, it would be a nice move.

Needless to say, I think I'm passing on the deal...
