you would need a big difference to make and performance qualities change. the difference in width can change if the car would want to over or understeer more or less.

with mine I feel a bit of the understeer is gone now.

example look at a viper. 295 F and 355 R lol

I did this with my '09 coupe. The 275's will fit on the stock rear 18" rims and 245's on the front - no rubbing, no issues. The tires were Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's iirc.
