Before I return these H&R 15mm (DRM) spacers...

Hey guys,

I bought a set of 15mm DRM spacers for my Nismo to install in the front. I was going to install them today and break the packaging but I read up that 15s DRM cannot be installed for the front wheels and that I would need DRS with the extended lugs. That sucks because I got the DRM style based in the fact that it's easier to install and way less labor. Do I really need DRS?

I have only a few more days to do the exchange so looking for some feedback.

Thanks in advance

Are these bolt on or do they require you to replace studs with longer studs?

For anything over 10 mm you will be safer with extended studs.

There are two types

Type 1. Requires you to replace the studs for longer ones some prefer this method but does require more work

Example:

Type 2. Require you to only remove the wheel to bolt the spacer to the existing studs and reuse the original lugs to tighten the wheels to the spacer.
This the easiest way to go.

There is a cost different between the two options

Example

Now the only thing left is to decide on how big of a spacer one uses?

Most will go with

15mm front 20mm rear
20mm front 20mm rear
20mm front 25mm rear

These are the DRM so they are bolt on

This is the tread that threw me off

But I have these same exact spacers 15mm DRM installed on my rears and they're fine

Pretty obvious from the thread that bolt ons do not work in the front.

Figured that too but just wanted some extra confirmation

if youre committed to those nismo wheels you can trim the factory studs shorter to clear the wheel disc.

but then these factory wheels are hubcentric in design and that one piece hubcentric lip on H&R's tend to crack off regardless of bolt-on or stud replacement type. search for the tread that talked about it.
