Tail lights are pretty easy to pop in and out, two nuts on the top under the plastic piece and a third one on the inside of the trunk. It's behind the plastic piece there so you have to remove a few of those panels to get to it. That's the last nut is the one most people miss. After you get those three off they slide straight out.

However, if you wanna try it, It is not that hard. I would advise against doing the pre-cut kits. It is much easier to tint and then just cut off the edges. I used a precut kit for a friends car and it left a lot to be desired. Last edited by AntiVenom; 03-27-2015 at 06:48 AM. |

The tail lights are pretty easy to remove.... a bit worse than the 350z but still easy.
2x 10 mm bolts on top of the tail light housing after you pull the plastic cover off of them. Pull interior plastic pieces and remove 8mm nut on the inside, and pull straight back towards you. There will be some resistance since it is held in there by a few clips. Plastic interior is pretty easy to get out as well. Tinting is easy, either pull the lights and VHT then do a light buff on them. Or go the easy route and buy the sheets of vinyl that will cover lights and put a heat gun on medium settings pull and stretch the sheet perfect over the lights. Then cut access off around the lights. The heat will make quick work of the crease in the rear tails and if you get a ticket you can pull it with ease. Plus it would be cheaper to buy the vinyls and heat gun plus if you don't own one you can add one to your tool arsenal for around $30, I bought one from harbor freight thinking cool a throw away tool. Ive had it for 3 years and used it a ton of times randomly, when I thought I was buying it for a one time use sort of thing. No offense to anyone on the forum or OP, But I knew a dude who had his set of 370z Rays painted like that and he installed them on his fx35 after he bought them from CL. I just wasn't a fan and kinda feel that the car deserves better than painted stockers. Just screams "I'm Broke, but need to stand out". I would at first plasti-dip them like others are saying. You never know might spend the dough to get them painted and hate it.
