What to use to remove sticky glue residue from wheel weights?
I was washing my car last night & I noticed that the tire shop left large chunks of glue or tape residue on my wheels after they removed the wheel weights.
What can I use to remove the glue or tape residue w/o harming my wheel barrels?

That looks more like your wheel weights fell off...
I think you can use goof off or WD40

When I worked at a body shop, we used a 3m eraser wheel on a drill to remove emblem adhesive and pinstripes off of paint without harming it. It works really well. You would probably have to remove the wheel to get to it with it though.

Expensive though, but if it's easy to do, it's worth it on $4000 wheels since most shops use a wire brush and chisel

rc car motor spray works very well for this. i use it all the time to remove weights with no marks no stains.
but you'll need to be careful not to remove the remaining tape on the weights you want to keep. |

i've removed adhesive off of things before by simply placing a piece of duct tape on the adhesive then pull off slowly... when i removed the duct tape it brought the adhesive with it

^maybe if I heat that sucker up with a heat gun for awhile but when I tried removing it with my finger last night there's no way duct tape is going to remove this thing

you'd be surprised... i removed the emblem adhesive with duct tape when i replaced the nissan emblems with z emblems... not a perfect science but worked pretty good... goo gone removed the small amount of sticky residue that was left
