Arizona Import Shops
Anyone know of a reputable import shop here in the Phoenix where I can have work done on my car? I have several things I want to have done. After numerous attempts at trying to have the service manager over at Vivid Racing in Gilbert get back to me I have given up and am looking for a different place to do business with. If you have suggestions, please help!

Phoenix specifically, but AZ as a whole as I found out was not a good place for Nissan modding. I had to go to Cali to get the stuff I wanted done. Lou@Amplified is a great guy and gave me a lot of good deals, it was always worth the trip out to go there. But I'm sure travel isn't what you're looking for but again, AZ didn't give many options...

Concept Z Performance. Call em at 1 (602) 283-3500. They are located off 15th ave. and Deer valley if I'm not mistaken. They specialize in Nissan and Infiniti, and they are always really good about getting your stuff on time. I've done a lot of business with them. I hate the sketchy shops that don't answer the phone or never get back to your emails. These guys don't do business like that. They are good people to work with!

I have a set of the sport model brakes I need painted to match the car and then installed in place of the base model brakes with new pads. Also need a Y-Pipe installed, and I bought a set of stock rims one of which has curb rash that i need to have cleaned up. While Im at it I need to have a transmission flush done and replace with Redline MT85 I bought. Could probably do the tranny flush myself but dont have much time, have a road trip coming up.

FAT (Forced Air Technologies) Has a Z guy there that has done work on my Nismo. They are a full service speed shop and the guys are very nice. They also have worked on my Civic and Subaru Baja and stand by their work. Just google them as they have moved shops a couple of times.
If you need a general mechanic shop for imports there is a little shop run by a bunch of older Asian guys called Cactus Import Auto Service. They have worked on all my import stuff for the last few years and also stand by their work. 11835 N Cave Creek Rd If you need a fantastic auto body/ paint work for a great price I always use Full Circle Auto Body off of Ironwood. Tony and his wife run that shop and are fantastic people. I have had a ton of stuff worked on there. If you need custom exhaust work, muffler or full exhaust installs there is a little shop on 19th Ave & Peoria called Custom Muffler. The guy that owns the shop does all his own work and is great too. If you need things chromed or polished there is a great shop called Diversified Metals that does fantastic work. They can also do acid dips for rusted fuel tanks or parts among other things. They are north on the 17. I used to be in the auto industry and have made a ton of friends along the way. If you need something in AZ just PM me and I probably know someone. Edit** For tuning stuff, use UMS Tuning. They took care of my Z and did a great job! Last edited by TheW3r3W0lf; 07-01-2013 at 12:07 AM. |
