First Arizona Thread....

I thought they do emission test every few yrs? I really dont remember. I seem to remember having to sit in line a few times to have my car tested,

I thought they do emission test every few yrs? I really dont remember. I seem to remember having to sit in line a few times to have my car tested, but it seems like a few yrs ago. Is it for only older cars?

Yeah I believe so, I've had a car registered here since 2003, and never had to do it, one of the Very Few things this state has thats a

Yeah, it's "required" to meet emission standards, but they only require inspections on older cars.

"Most 2002 and newer vehicles are not required to be emissions tested."

If you get pulled over, turn off the engine!

This rule doesn't apply just in AZ, I do it everytime, and (used to) take the keys out of the ignition. Gives a cop that warm fuzzy "he's not gonna run" feeling.

I turn it off too, just to be curteous. I also put my hands on the wheel... which lets him know I've considered brandishing and decided against it.

I meant turn it off if you're rockin an "altered" exhaust... probably a good idea not to leave it running if it SOUNDS like you need an emissions test.

How to take the keys out of the ignition of my 370?? <--sticky plz
