Some help from some fellow Zonies

I know this is my first post on this site, Hello! But I have a small favor to ask, I am interested in switching to the sport 370z wheels onto my 2006 M45 but I know the offset in the rear is going to be close.

Would anyone be willing to let me test fit a stock rear wheel onto my car to test the fitment? I can meet anywhere and get lunch/6-pack/whatever to make this happen.

Thanks!

Oh, I've owned Z cars for most of my life, currently have a LS1 Z31 project in the garage.

ps I live in Maricopa, work in Tempe, and my girl works in Scottsdale, so I'm an east sider but will meet almost anywhere.

thanks!
Ken

Where in Copa?

I live in Rancho, and work in Tempe... Well Priest and Washington, so the Phoenix/Tempe border...

Ken in AZ 06-05-2009 02:27 AM

I'm in rancho as well, work on warner and kyrene.

Travis, I'm not sure if I can wait that long, my tires are gone on the rear of my M and I need a set pronto. I found a good deal that I can't pass up "if" they fit. I'm headed up to scottsdale infiniti tomorrow to test fit some volk's that are close to what the stock offset is of the 370z. I have a feeling that the 370z wheel offset spec that I have isn't right, but then again I have no idea that's why I'd like to actually test fir them first rather than dropping coin and them not fitting.

Ken in AZ 06-05-2009 02:31 AM

Oh, and travis, realistically I would only need 30min max to try "one" out.

It will honestly take me 10min to jack up the car - swap wheels and drop my car back on the ground to see what the clearance is. Don't need to swap the whole set over.

OK, slidefox what do you think? I can sweeten the deal by throwing in the fact that you can watch whatever DVD in the car with the AC on while I'm outside wrenchin! Whataya think?

Slidefox 06-06-2009 12:13 PM

Sorry Ken... No 370 yet for me... although I might have a source for some stock 370z wheels. I'll let you know.
