I have the 2013 Sport Rays that I want to get rid of. I just need to take the tires off of them. Keeping the front tires, only one rear tire is good.

Rims are pretty mint though.

The Z is alive! anybody knew about the safety mode feature? Well I don't think it's called that but my Z entered a safety mode because it was redlined for so long.

Haboob 11-16-2015 10:42 AM

Ah, limp mode?

My Z goes into something like limp mode randomly (only after startup). It will rev, but very, very slowly - making it near impossible to drive to work. Sometimes a quick shutoff and restart after a minute will get it back going to normal. Sometimes it takes like 10 minutes (which I obviously can't do in traffic). Frustrating, but no error codes or lights... which is what's strange about it.

And I don't redline it like you. ;) :icon17:

That's interesting. I wonder if there is any way to disable limp mode

You don't want to even if you could. It's there to keep you from gernading your engine.

Numbers AND video! ;) they say each lane will have speed trap equipment. I'll be interested to see if it's just mph or if it'll be things like 1/4 and/or 1/2 mile times. Either way should be a blast!

It was probably mine. I was there, that was the day the Z was delivered.

Gianni 12-16-2015 12:23 PM

Import Face Off last Sunday was fun! I actually thought about running the 1/4 mile but I was kinda embarrased but I saw 2 2012-13 Nismos doing 14.27???? Is that a true nismo 1/4 mile time or were these guys not trying? I kinda just thought they would be around 13 seconds, maybe even 12 seconds.

They probably weren't trying. We should be able to get mid 13s without sweating it. At least that's what I have heard/been told :D

BboyZ 12-16-2015 11:45 PM

I think, its either not trying to hard/bad day or the track. I know some one that run with his GTR and STI, the result was bad. both were on 14s.

Can't find my torque chart anywhere but here's the horsepower

https://scontent.fphx1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...b5&oe=57103FCC

Injen intakes and AAM short tails. Not much but still a difference

NickTurnon 12-29-2015 09:36 AM

Based on that dyno, I still cant read exact numbers.. But your torque is right there on the dyno as well..

HP: Somewhere around 305-306whp
TQ: 240whp then drops around 6500-7000

HP numbers seem a little high. Good weather will do that for you though. When I dyno'd I had relatively the same mods and put down 256/222 in the middle of summer. 115 degrees out

Fine by me haha. Trying to get test pipes in ASAP then get a retune

On the other hand, got my hood wrapped in carbon fiber too. My black oem hood got dented, so I got a new silver one from AZ Street Customs and decided to get it wrapped.

I would be careful about how "cheap" your trying to be, but I have used pitstop for a few things so far and I always felt vitaly was reasonable and the work was done well. That's the only shop I have had good experience with in AZ. Good luck.

Hey hotrod! Glad everything is working out for ya. I will never go back to regular fuel. E85 for life man! It's the best! Make sure to gimme a holler man if/when u and your brother come thru my way bro. Be good to see ya

Hotrodz 01-05-2016 08:50 PM

Will do man...I just went to Las Vega to get more fuel. I have a 55 gallon drum and 6 five gallon cans to haul hold fuel lol. That's my commitment to staying away from 91 craptane!!!

:icon18: that's awesome!! I'm fortunate it's only a few miles for me. It used to be a 25miles round trip which doesn't seem like much but when u get 150miles to a tank it's not the greatest. THe only thing that sucks is I can't go on any super car runs and play with the lambos and such. Most of those don't have e85 along the way. At some point I wouldn't mind a flex file sensor so I could put in 91 if I needed to. I would miss the 250whp thou :shakes head:

Did u get your car tuned with ecutek yet? I know I could pull another 40-50whp out of mine pretty easy when I make the swap. Still need to get the darn car painted. Can't stop changing / adding aero parts.

Hotrodz 01-06-2016 04:56 PM

Lol, I know about that modding thing it is a bad addiction. Yup, I got Ecutek and flex fuel in September. You need bothof those so you don't have to worry about running out of gas. I do pretty good on the highway, my cruising range is about 250 and in town well it's about 200 if I only put my foot in it once a day.

You will love the traction and launch control with Ecutek.

I am looking to get a new clutch installed. What is a good place in the valley to bring my Z too?

tturbo370z 01-11-2016 12:43 PM

I have had pitstop performance do some work for me here and would take mine there if I needed a thing else. Otherwise my car gets shipped to specialty Z in Cali

INeedaDoctor 01-11-2016 01:08 PM

I just ordered my Specialty Z clutch and one of my friend's mechanic is installing it for me. If you're interested, I can let you know how it goes and give you his contact info?

I was really impressed with Vivid Racing. Their shop is in the East Valley and REALLY know what they are doing.
