Hey guys. I'm Chris and I work @ Element Motorsport in Tempe. Just signed up on this forum recently as a vendor and wanted to say hello to the AZ guys. We do mostly wheels & tires here but can get just about any performance parts too. If you guys ever need anything feel free to send me a PM and I'll do the best I can for ya. Especially if you need tires, rims or already have nice wheels that you don't want the avg discount tire touching, hit me up

I've owned a 350z for just about a year now. Before that I had a 240sx pushing 400whp. I've been a Nissan fan for quite some time. I am thinking about possibly picking up the 370z but I am not certain yet. Part of me wants to get a larger sedan (03-06 e55 amg supercharged or IS350) but the other part of me wants to stick with Nissan and upgrade to the 370z. I have no kids or anything so I really don't need the room technically, lol.

I also live in Laveen (43rd ave & Southern area) and commute down Baseline every day. So if you see a slammed Daytona Blue 350z with super aggressive Work wheels and single exit exhaust, that be me :driving:

so about this meet? sept 27 sound good? location?

-Chris

You guys did my old roomates wheels.
we lived down in 51st and baseline

I can vouch for CHis down at Element - they did my wheels on my M

Chis - if you want the VIP and the Sedan plus staying with nissan - the M35/45 should be in your future.

I know mine isn't anywhere near VIP - actually the opposite really but here's a pic from their site - oh - check out the Akebono's from the 370z chillin!

Thanks Ken! How's the M doing?

I will probably end up keeping the 350 for a bit longer. I think I'm gonna try to buy a house while they are dirt cheap right now. A new car can wait, I already have a decent one to get by with :)

I just need to start modding the Z again. I get bored and lose interest when I go 3-4 months without doing something new to it, lol.

I have a Mastergrade CF rear diffuser thats been sitting in my garage for like 4 months that I need to install but I've kinda been waiting to find a front lip that I like. Plus I have to lose my single exit exhaust and go back to a stock looking dual to clear the diffuser w/o cutting it up.

Chris, welcome to the board!

All, another idea for the meet... maybe schedule it around the upcoming NASA / BMW club racing event at PIR on 3-4 October... could do a drive from that point and go explore west, and maybe spend a couple hours at the track watching racing, time trialing, drifting etc... and here's link to the registration discussion if you want to drive your car at the track... instructors are free October 3-4 w/ BMWCCA @ Phoenix International Raceway - NASA AZ

Thanks Travis!

Glad to be here

The M is doing awesome - just got done with the UpRev tuning and it went from 252rwhp to 290rwhp - 38 hp gain is not bad :happydance:

Anyway - all else is good too, just need to get some time to pull the calipers to get them powdercoated but that can wait - no rush.

But you sir - need to get Moddin sounds like!

FINALLY! My car is mine again! Now to just do a bumper swap, and get the exhaust fixed at IM when they can, and trade in time for my Z.

details for the up and coming...repost from Tages email.
Registration for the October event at PIR (Oct 2rd & 3rd) is now open!

https://www.nasaproracing.com/event/910

Please note that this is a BMWCCA event and they are sharing this event with them. Remember, we are THEIR guests!

Here are the key things to be aware of for this event:

#1 - Since this is BMW CCA's event, they will host their driving "school" (equal to our HPDE1 & HPDE2) so *NASA* will not have these groups as options. To register for the beginner "HPDE type" groups, go here --> MotorsportReg.com : BMW CCA - Roadrunner Chapter announces 3rd Annual **** Good Driving School & Club Race (Sat 3 - Sun 4 Oct, 2009) info at Phoenix Int'l Raceway, Avondale, AZ 85323 (5096)

#2 - Since about half of the schedule is BMW CCA exclusive, there's not enough room for NASA to have all groups available. Combining of HPDE3 & HPDE4 is very likely. We will have to combine groups and/or turn off registration early for some groups to ensure they are not oversold so the moral of the story is do not wait to register!

#3 - We are very close to this next event already and we expect all of the NASA groups to fill up very quickly. Early bird pre-registration discounts will only apply until this weekend

#4 - For Racers that are running in the BMWCCA races, there is a "SupersizePT/ST/SU" option to run the NASA race as well. Only $100 will buy you an entry into the NASA race to double your track time and fun! NOTE: This rate will only apply if you are currently registered and run in the BMWCCA Race.

#5 - If you're a racer feeling a little left out this past Summer, here's your chance to *feel the love*. For this event there will be a "SupersizeTT" registration option. If your are a NASA racer looking for additional seat time and another shot at some contingency, for only $100 you can run Time Trial both days in addition to the race group! NOTE: This rate will only apply if you are already registered and run the NASA race.

#6 - It will be a lot cooler at this event vs the Sept event so don't wait until the last minute and get left out in the *cold*. :-)

Thank you for your continued support of NASA Arizona!

Wow, 38whp is a great gain from tuning! Thats awesome man, I bet the car feels way better

I will start modding soon enough....I actually want new rims already. Something less aggressive this time around, lol.

Ken in AZ 09-21-2009 01:21 AM

I don't think I'll participate in the NASA events - but I sure do want to go and check it out - maybe be an extra hand/wrench in the pits if needed.

Too much wear and tear on the car/brakes drivetrain. I wouldn't be too comfortable unless I had some additional coolers for the transmission and engine oil and possibly for the power steering as well.

That being said - I am really interested in trying out drifting - HA!

Hey guys, anyone know of a good shop on the West side of town? I would like to work with Intensepower, but I can't get to Chandler every day due to my work. So something on the east side would be awesome!
