wtb: axleback exhaust
Want something small which probably means individual pipes (not a big welded together thing) so I can carry it inside the car and change it out at the track. Is AAM the only game in town? Top Speed seems out of stock everywhere. Light and +power is good - somewhat loud is ok since it'll only be used sometimes, but has to be under 100db at 50'. Already have the Garageline cat-to-muffler section, stock cats and headers.
Thanks! |

Seems like some have reported 8-15hp gains with a good cat back. If an axleback nets no gains, does that mean it all comes from the mid and y pipe (which I already have)?
Weight savings would be good too. |

Exactly. You might gain a total of 2hp from an axle back if you're lucky but probably won't get that. The gains from a cat back are Goin to come from the mid section which will have less restrictions. If you have a nismo, ive heard on here that one of the better/cheaper ways to go is hfc/test pipes, axleback , and stock mid pipes. But everyone has their own preference

AAM should be under 100db if you travel under 50mph.
It really depends on how high your RPMs go. 2-3k Rpm is slighty mild, around 4k+ rpms is when the loudness is there.
