Anything to practice on
I am about to delve further into the world of composites. I have skinned many items in the past with some horrible and some pretty good results. Well, now I just bought a vacuum pump and am going to buy all the necessary connections and lines to run it very soon. Also have some fiberglass mat and peel ply/bagging material on the way. So only thing left is to see if anyone is interested in getting free carbon fiber parts! If you want something made entirely from carbon just send it my way and I will send you back a shiny new carbon product almost free of charge (please pay shipping both ways). I am doing this to gain experience and to get a few molds for products that are not currently on the market. Some of the things I am most interested in are the fabric door panel inserts, bits of the center console, whatever. Also if any of you have motorcycles I would love to try my hand at making a fuel tank or some smaller accent pieces, just let me know what you have! Once I am confident in my ability to produce good quality parts I MIGHT start selling, but for right now its just a parts exchange thing. Thanks for your time everyone, and have a good day!

I have a spare set of every plastic interior piece EXCEPT for the front dash and I bought them for exactly this reason.... I want them skinned but how would this work with international shipping? Wouldn't it be a fortune?

hey guys sorry for being a ghost lately. if you still want me to do some stuff for ya i am sending all of you pms right now with my address. shipping shouldn't be incredibly expensive since my address is an APO. but it wouldn't hurt to check prices before boxing up and heading to the opst office with your wallet in hand!

To clarify, when OP says that his shipping address is an apo it means you will only ship USPS to the APO city. For example he will provide a CMR box number then the City (APO) State is AE and then the zip code. When you go to the post office this will count as a incountry (anywhere in the USA) shipment with a fixed rate determened by you post office for the size/weight of parcel. It will not be shipped to "germany" directly and will go through the DoD mail system from the APO, AE sorting center.
Op i wish you had said something earlier, i PCSd back stateside in Feb!

Yea I just got here in December man. Had barely gotten a house by february. And thanks for the explanation on shipping! I wasn't even sure how it worked... I just knew that it was cheaper than shipping something to my home address.
