Default UpRev to help with passing inspection?

I live in NYC and have an inspection due by the end of this month. I have test pipes and a constant CEL light on. In the past, I was able to get it to pass by gambling with some luck. I would use my OBD2 scanner, clear the code, and drive easy for about 30-50 miles until it’s all ready. It normally would take a few tries, but I got it done. I don’t think that’s an option for me any longer since every time I clear the code now, it pops back up within the same day after driving maybe 10 miles or so.
My friend who had a 370z still has his UpRev license and cable to try and help me with the situation. The license is still connected with his VIN number, so he’ll have to flash the cable to stock and dissociate it from his VIN.
In the meantime, I was wondering if UpRev has this ability to permanently clear my code, while still allowing my car to do its self-checks and be ready for the inspection. Please don’t mention for me to just get a tune. It’s not an option at the moment. Thanks so much.

I have test pipes and uprev and never throw a CEL. I'd recommend going to Real Auto Dynamics and get it fixed.

it's because you are tuned that you don't have a CEL

No some cars with the correct extenders don't throw codes. Even some HFC's will throw codes. I think if you tune it out you'll still fail as the system will not show a "ready" or something like that status.

All we can do with Uprev is disable the code so that the CEL doesn't come on, that's what a lot of tuners do automatically for customers with test pipes without even telling them. It will keep the CEL off, HOWEVER if you go for emissions and they perform an OBD2 scan some of your O2 functions will show up as "not ready".. whether that will fail you or not depends on the guy running the station.

I see. So basically if I don't have a guy that'll risk a potential fine for passing me, then it'll be more troublesome for me since my OBD will never be able to show that it's completely ready?
If that's the case, then how do people who are tuned pass inspection if their OBD aren't ready ?

Look at ANMVQ post, you need correct extenders so the system reads correctly.
Uprev "could" help by tuning the car and see if brings it back inline so it does not throw the code while trying to leave on the sensors but not 100% guarantee.

I found that extenders wouldn't do anything in my particular case with the pos Motordyne V1 pipes. You'll see in my posted thread in the past that the o2 bongs are completely covered up with metal for reasons I do not know (Warning do not buy Motordyne products).
I feel like I'm in a bit of a bind.

The metal wires in there is to reduce the amount of exhaust reading at the sensor. Seriously, buy o2 defoulers $3 each at any autozone or advance auto parts install and watch the code disappear for good. Some cars require different defouler length to correctly offset the o2 readings.

Edit. Just saw the pics in your other thread. I dont know why it was completely shut off from the bung either. It shouldnt be like that. My guess is they forgot to drill a hole before welding on the o2 bung

This may work in other states but I believe in MA the scan tool sends the info right to the registry so its not up to the guy standing at the machine ?

Also Seymore4 do you disable the codes for HFC's or just TP's.

That's the no though required way to do it. With decent test pipes it would be hard to throw a CEL but with a decent tuner it would even be harder if even possible at all.
