GTM Stage 1 Super Charger Install -Initial Start Up
 

I'm just about finished with my Stage 1 SC build, but I was not able to obtain ECU Flash files from GTM. Wondering if I can get advice as to what I need to do to the ECU before I do the initial start? I'm not versed on tuning so I don't know if I can start the vehicle without a flash or is there a download that I can find either through this forum or online somewhere???

You need uprev software and a tuner.

Do you have the UpRev cable?

I forgot to mention that I do have a cable. I also have a tuner who has uprev.
I want to find out if i can start the car and drive it ( break it in) b4 I have a tune done, or do I need to down load info onto my ECU. My SC install instructions asks that I aquire a flash from GTM b4 initial start up.

Still don't have the GTM stage 1 file? Ishould have it in my files somewhere.

If it starts at all without a base map, it'll run badly since it expects much smaller injectors.

Well, it's dead of winter here in lovely Ohio. So, not much driving right now. I do take the car out when the roads are dry enough. Car runs really well, and no problems so far! Me likem' boooost!! Check out my : "Confuscious Say" post on the Forced Induction page.... lol
I'm waiting on FI resonated test pipes delivery and then I'll take the car in for the TUNE!

Ah ok. Dead of winter 30+ inches of snow here also, Maybe thought about a garage start up , but with out a tune I don't blame you.

I got a tune from GTM and downloaded it, car runs very well. Not digging the BOV noise when accelerating easily. It makes a noise kinda like "chedda chedda chedda".. There is an adjustment that can be done to the valve to lessen the noise, so I've read...
I can feel the torque difference with the SC and with the FI cat backs, it sounds great. Like the scream the exhaust makes when gettin on it!

that almost sounds like a boost leak, either that or flutter, I know I had to adjust my turbosmart BPV when I swapped out the Stillen stock one.

I'm thinking it's the BOV also. I'll do some adjusting when I tear the bumper off at Tune time!
