Greasy residual on lower part of exhaust tips. Does the Z get tuned to run very rich

I drove my Z (complete stock) for about 1K miles and noticed that there alot of greasy buildup on the lower part of the exhaust tips. I'm guessing this is resulted from the car running too rich? I would think that stock cars are tuned rich, but that's a little to much right? The AFR would probably be lower then 10 (guessing). Anyone else noticed this problem?

I think it's probably oil. These things are definitely spewing some amount of oil, especially in the break-in period. Check your oil levels regularly.

well not all of them are spewing oil just some unlucky people's cars.

I clean the tips pretty regularly but I never notice much buildup. Knock on wood but my oil levels are very constant as well.

One of the lucky ones as mine never did it and in checking the oil level around the 1000 mile mark using 0-40 Mobil 1 it's exactly as when the oil was topped off.

Stock they are pretty rich though.
