What's the deal with uprev?
Ok there's the cable, standard and tuner. Cables just a cable, standard lets uprev tune it 3 times via a etune? And tuner you can have at it? If your already tuned buy one dealer can you switch? I'm being told no even though I have my tune and already paid for a license. I need to pay all over. Can't I just give him my tune file and he has a cable and we start tuning?

Assuming it isn't locked, and he has a cable... I think so...?

Yes & no, when a tuner tunes a car you are paying for the license and his time, that is it.
If you go to a different tuner, they can either start a fresh tune from scratch since you have a license (you just need to pay for his tuning time) or modify the current tune if the tune is unlocked. |
most tuners i have called when shopping for my tune wanted to charge me for a license REGARDLESS of the fact i already had my own, unlocked, on the cable.
so i shopped around until i found a tuner who only charged me for their labor and dyno. not the extra $300 for the license charge. |

Seriously contemplating upgrading to a Tuner cable now that I'm boosted. |

I don't know what cable I have but I can flash tunes, record logs, and clear codes. I was told before if I had a tune, license and cable it would cost my $350 for dyno time and the tuners time.

I am on the fence also about upgrading as being able to make minor changes might be nice instead of having to schedule an appointment with the tuner to adjust a fan speed. |

Minor thread jack... Also you up for getting together at some point? I'm real interested in how Sam piped your secondary PCV system on the SC system. Sure Chuck would offer up the lift and I'll spring for 'refreshments'
