Default Uprev Tune and ECU reset

According to my tuner: Yes. He said I should visit him first before visiting stealership for any (motor) issues.

Oh man if the dealer flashed your ECU your tune is gone :/ you're have to get a new flash as your ECU Rom has now changed .
Always see your tuner for CELS first

Reset or flashed/updated?

If reset, then you may or may not have lost your tune. If flashed/updated, you definitely lost the tune and may need a different tunable ROM file -- see the tuner.

Just use your Uprev cable and your laptop and clear out the light yourself.

This right here. Resetting the ECU to clear the codes and stored memory will not hurt your tune, but if they did an ECU reprogram or firmware update.. IE reflash.. then yes your tune would be gone

There are several options. Most of them come with the cable. It costs a little more, but it's well worth it. You don't need the license that allows you to tune it yourself, but the cable would be a good thing to get. Give your tuner a call and see how much the cable would be.

It allows you to connect the car to your laptop and clear codes and data log.

It lets you reflash yourself, so you can reflash updates or remove the license and sell it used if you want to. You also have access to Cipher so you can perform misc OBD2 diagnostic functions like checking and clearing codes, etc.

The cable is $225 unless you can find a used one
