Ton of Thrown Codes

So I brought my Z in today to get the cruise control looked at finally. Been nonworking since last fall when I got hit and repaired. So brought itnin expecting to be a switch or a loose wire maybe. They start by running the diagnostic and this list and slew of codes all come back lol. Looks like there is more not working than I thought? Tried some quick searching but cant find much on all of them. Anyone else have problems with these before? Could any be caused by the mods are on my car; test pipes, exhaust, crank and alternator pulleys and in the middle of an EcuTEK tune.

I would check your brake fluid level and battery charge then erase all codes and see what comes back.

well the dealer has it over night so im sure they will work that out. But battery level still reads normal at 14. Thats from the stock gauge and my own data logging in ecutek. Im more concerned in finding info to combat anything they may say could be caused by the mods. Or if anyone else had these codes caused by the mods so I know its normal.

they weirdest part is that i had no check engine light on

If the car seems to be operating normally, I'd clear the DTCs and see if any of them reappear. Might just be some minor, temporary glitches. The clutch switch will cause cruise to disengage, so that may be an actual problem.

The clutch switch is what was giving me cruise control issues. If I recall the code was P0605. They started by replacing the brake switch and then trying over and over to sync all the switches together. Dealer fought with it for awhile and it finally got resolved when they replaced the clutch switch.

yeah, i tried adjusting the switches by the pedals myself at the start of the summer. But was unsuccessful with it fixing the problem. Luckily the car is all under warranty still. Especially since the tech already told me that one sensor is located on top of the tranny theyd need to drop to reach it. Has to call Nissan Tech directly to see if there are other solutions possibly before doing that.

the car drove normally correct?(minus cruise control of course) did the little gear indicator in the dash work? the clutch interlock switch failure may have caused the abs to shut off, the ecu reflash may have erased the home position on the gear shifter sensor. replace the clutch interlock switch and do the gear lever neutral position relearn and do a battery disconnect reset it will probably fix all your problems. OOOooohh wait you took it to the stealer already? In that case prepare to pay about $1200, have them tell you they couldn't fix it all, have your warranty voided, and I'm sure it will come back with a few new issues. Good luck brother

I think i'm going to be safe. They called and said there is definitely some mechanical malfunction, and as long as i didnt change any parts in the tranny or anything i will be covered.

jofro6 06-12-2014 11:26 AM

Well whatever the problems were, the mechanical ones were enough to warrant a new transmission fully warrantied.. Lets hope this doesnt cause too much other sh*t down the line after installed.

My tranny was covered under warranty too. 6th gear syncro went out. No codes on mine though

jofro6 06-12-2014 03:47 PM

Yeah i didnt have any synchro problems. But my gates were definitely not lined up correctly. My 5th gear throw was way off though. Think things got twisted last year when i was hit in my front end and we never looked at the tranny cause there was no damage shown going back that far.

Have you had any issues after the replacement tranny? I know people always say that replacements are never as good as the original for some reason.

I've only have a couple thousand miles and at least half of those are boosted miles. No issues to date (knocks on wood)...:ugh2:

1slow370 06-12-2014 05:11 PM

after my first trans the second went pretty quick but the third ones solid

jofro6 06-13-2014 06:55 AM

ugh i hope i dont need to go to a third.. what issues did you have with yours 1slow?
