Mods Before Uprev

Hey Guys,

:hello:

What mods do you guys recommend before using Uprev to tune a 370Z?

All of them

It depends on what you plan on doing, if you intend on doing forced induction or stay naturally aspirated.

If you go the FI route, are you planning on turbocharging or supercharging. For turbos, maybe you can purchase the FI 3" TDX exhaust, for the supercharger, purchase the long tube headers and exhaust. Neither of which will need an intake, as they offer their own intake plumbing, it's a waste of money.

This. Buy and install all of the bolt ons you're ever going to want before the tune. Otherwise you'll be paying to re-tune after you do more mods.

I don't plan on doing Forced Induction. Just do the extra mods to gain a little bit more power out of the car.

Then go buy a used catback, TP/HFCs and intake from the marketplace here and go get a tune. I'll bet you can be all in under $3k and pick up 30-40 whp. That's not bad as far as bang for the buck goes.

Need some opinions. I am currently deciding whether to go FI or bolt ons. Assuming here I go bolt ons:

1. Akuma Intake: Read that this has the most gains, more than Stillen.

2. ART Pipes: Read that this has the most gains as well, more than HFC and other test pipes.

3. F.I. CBE: Read that this has the most gains.

4. NST Pulley: Read great posts about the gains as well.

What are your thoughts about my choices for upgrades?

Any other mods you guys suggest?

In terms are CBE, are there any other brands that have similar gains as F.I.? The wait on F.I. is brutal.

z1 400 hp kit is good start.

Good list though I personally would not do the pulley upgrade especially the NST one.

The only other NA mods your missing would be:
Intake Manifold
Downpipes in lieu of ART pipes. Though im not sure the cost/effort is worth the increase.

VQ37VHR 400HP Package

Is this kit better? Or should I build my own with the the best of each part?

Thanks!

stillen exhaust, stillen gen 3 intake.. getting headers, test pipes, plenum mod and then i'll get my car tuned... just depends on your taste and what you want, but like chuck said you want to install all the parts you want first before getting a tune. otherwise you'll have to get it re-tuned again and pay money for the re-tune again.
