do people share their maps?

Some scene are pretty open while some are overly tight on this subject, I am just wondering if people share their maps on this forum.

sure, every cars different and you cannot just copy/paste someone else's map and hope for the best, but it would still help a lot to get the ideas and learn from there.

I do understand that most people would want to keep the investment they made to them selves but I assume there should be enough number of people who tune their cars themselves and want to share knowledge?

Or is this topic banned to discuss here to protect the tuners on the forum?:tiphat:

Most people don't have access to their maps and most tuners lock them down. The percentage of people buying the full version of Uprev is very low.

ouch.. sad to hear. I guess I will start sharing mine once I finish playing with mine.

found that my car with stock map right now is running pig rich at high end, AFR on bank1 is stuck at 10:1 from around 6500rpm, and mostly around 11~11.5:1, looks like that is the minimum the sensor can read :O

Yeah, other cars with open source tuning have a lot more sharing going on. Here, Uprev has the whole market except for one guy who tunes Ecutek.

My only experience with using maps has been with sport bikes. I always got a copy of my map for my power commander after a tune and there was never an issue with sharing your map with anyone with your same setup. Im guessing Uprev will keep your map on file?? Would be pretty shitty of them to charge you again for it in case your map got corrupted.

For the extra money I like to sleep easy at night knowing Vince at R/T did my tune, and well at that, and he deserves to be paid for that!
