All that he above is true, but being able to do minor things as well as make small adjustments, read/clear your own check engine lights, be able to set when your fans kick on/off, aand ble to set your own launch rpm (if you are manual), is worth it to me.

Just cause you have the tuner version, don't mean you are a pro, but it does help being able to do all of the above and still get a pro tune either by dyno with a tuner or etune.

You can check/clear codes without the full tuner version. I check/erase mine all the time

Didn't know how to put it but this is what I meant like tweaking certain things on my own and then either dyno or "Road Dyno" (<--Dunno if that's how you say it) the car so the map gets settled in....idk that's the only reason I ask since I am going to put gears and nitrous on my build that's part of the reason why I asked but need to think it over per say....Btw I don't track the car but I do Drag every other weekend or so.
