Ohh no, its another what to ask for before tuning thread
 

So I am going to be getting my tune done by Z1 on Jan 4th :happydance: . I have done a lot of research on what to ask for when getting a tune. I was hoping for a few more suggestions.

I have so far:

Throttle response
Different maps - valet, performance, economy, etc....
Fan control for cooling
speed limiter taken off
turn off rear o2's so I dont get CEL
MORE POWER!!!!

I just want to see if I may have missed anything.

UM why are you turning off the Rear O2's? I rean HFC's ,cat back and intakes and had no CEL's. Heck I ran 457WHP SC and had no CEL's.
I know up here if you turn those of you WILL not pass state inspection? CEL for what? Everything else seems right tho.

I am putting on test pipes and I dont want the CEL coming up, not event he chance of it. I live in SC and we dont have inspections. That is why I need the rear o2 sensors taken care of.

I know it has been said before but the smell and LOUDNESS of TP's do not make sense for like 3 WHP? HFC's and TPs performance wise are so close even if I didn't have to pass smog I wouldn't go TPS just for the noise and smell. But to each their own ,what makes the world turn :).

The only TP's I would ever put on my car again are ART pipes.

Unless you have a super sensitive nose, TP's are not that bad. I've never had one person say anything about any smell. Sure it's there, butracecarenocare.

Do HFC have a significantly less of a fume smell than TP's? My TP's get annoying at times with smell and sound.

They do! I have had both also. HFC's are ok, TPS I smelled RAW fuel half the time LOL

Well its only maybe a 2hp decrease in hp with HFC. I'm debating on swapping out my berk tp's for berk hfc. Just because of loud rasp and smell.

get F.I resonated test pipes. i am about to change to those from my stillen HFCs

Oh why is that? Anything wrong with those HFC's?

Get art pipes. More HP than test pipes or hfc and no rasp. I prefer the smell of no cats, hate the smell of exhaust after it's been through a cat.

Some people really don't mind tp's. Also usually hfc's are more expensive. The way I see it you can get more WHP for less $$$.

I had TP on my 350Z and hated them. I had ARTS on my 370Z and loved them. I just went FI LTH....and sweet baby Jesus, the awesome arrived.
