Looks like 15-20 hp power gains. Impressive.

HKS Intakes and muffler delete. Changes to the tune: 1. Raised Rev Limiter 2. Speed Limiter Removed 3. Fuel Map Changes 4. Using EcuTek's RaceRom Ignition Timing Control Thought it was important to show what kind of gains could be had with just the correct ignition control. So No changes to the VVT or VVEL. With the in house testing that was already done there are gains to be had with VVT changes and will be showing that on the next dyno session. -John |

I think they just wanted to see what could be done with purely timing control. And then later, see if VVEL tuning provides gains.

But either way more kudos to Visconti and EcuTek to provide another EMS option for the VQ community. ![]() |

Sweet. Would be nice to see a datalog showing timing on stock pull vs timing on tuned pull, just for comparison's sake. I'd like to know how much timing advance was added.

show us a dynograft with only the timing change
because what I see is an untuned AFR which was probably the stock tune Vs the tuned AFR+ignition I remember when I did my intake manifold swap testing that alone with AFR that wasnt as far off as yours in the dynograft your showed us, ive seen around 12whp of gain which would have been more with a baseline of 10.5afr at 7000rpm . and the guy that was running the dyno was impressed at the second pull saying WoW ! you must have adjusted the ign timing with the afr.. which I didnt... but im glad there is finnaly another company comming in the 370z ECU market !!! good job ![]() Hope you guys do something with the HR engine !! hehe Last edited by Megan370z; 04-19-2013 at 04:38 PM. |

So changing the AF ratio will actually effect the amount of ignition timing the car will run.. we're talking .5 degrees of timing. I played around with A/F mixture and didn't see a huge different in WHP. On 93 octane this is the AF ratio I will be running, 91 octane will see something just a tad richer. -John |

![]() btw, its not because I mention Uprev that I have to owe to them , If i could and be a possibility I would ditch it for a proper control over everything. Last edited by Megan370z; 04-19-2013 at 05:02 PM. |
