Rev Limiter At 2500 RPM with UpRev
This issue has happened to me about 5 times since getting a new UpRev tune back in August. The situation that it happens with is when I get off interstate and pull to the stop sign my A/F ration drops to around 10 I notice, then when i take off from the stop sign the ratio goes back up to around 13 but I cant rev past 2500 RPM. I check all the gears and cant get anything past. So I pull off the road and turn off the car, wait a minute, then start again and everything is fine and normal. I have read about fuel starvation, but all I am doing is slowing down after getting off the highway with no turns, and my gas tank never gets lower than halfway between 1/2 and 1/4. I have the UpRev cable, but dont have any idea of what to do to change anything with the tune. Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this, or know what settings would need to be changed with the tune? I have tried disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU, and I still got the limiter after. I cant take it to Nissan either because they told me before that because of the UpRev everything is changed and they wouldnt know how to work on it. Any ideas or help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like some how you have activated the valet MAP mine was set at 2k. Car won't rev past that . Check to make sure your not switching to it by mistake especially if your using cruise on the hwy.

I doubt he's enabling the valet mode...it would take quite a lot of effort to do that accidentally.
I suspect the map is a bit too hot, perhaps too much timing and the ECU is pulling it back. I had this happen once and that's exactly what my car was doing - 2500RPM and it felt like it didn't want to go any more. My suggestion is scroll through your maps. Try map 2, map 3 (which should be the stock one). If you don't know how to do that, here it is: -Hold the set/coast toggle down -Press "Cancel" once for map 1, twice for map 2, etc... -Then release the set/coast toggle. -When you release the toggle, the cruise "SET" light on the dash will blink once for map 1, twice for map 2, etc... Edit: Also you stated you're monitoring the AFRs yourself. Do you have Osiris and Cipher? If so, log your car, contact UpRev and for $50 they will fix everything for you. I just got a new tune from them that updated my last one...and it's a hell of an upgrade. |

If you have the cable, you need to immediately download the software for free from here:
https://uprev.com/support.php The UpRev page and FAQ area will give you all the answers you need. If you're confused, call them and explain the situation. Logging is VERY easy to do. You simply open up Cipher (it's one of the programs you download), plug the cable into your PC and car. Allow Cipher to connect to the car. Select the option to log parameters, select the parameters (AFR Bank 1 and Bank 2, timing, engine speed, etc.), hit okay and start driving around. Hit the record or log button if you're able to reproduce the issue, and drive the car around in its gimped state. Stop the log, at which point an Excel spreadsheet file is automatically saved into your UpRev log folder. Send that to UpRev and for a minimal fee they will fix everything. I do highly recommend that you call UpRev. |

Calling Uprev will do nothing because they did not tune it. They don't have the tuned rom to look at, they don't know the car. Also they don't really have any obligation to go out of their way to help because they didn't take his money. MAC autosport did. The OP needs to go back to the shop that tuned it and first ask politely then if they still won't help (should be no additional charge since this is obviously an issue with the tune they did) raise hell.

I never told him to cal UpRev so they fix it for free or that they are obligated. I said to call them so they can help him with any confusion and explain how logging works. I also said for a fee they will fix the issue, because he'd essentially be paying for an ETune where UpRev reviews the logs and they will correct the ROM and resend it back to him.
You don't speak on behalf of UpRev, which is why my suggestion to call them and explain the situation stands. I didn't say they are obligated to fix anything, but chances are he'll have to pay for an ETune (which is only $50) and do some logging with his laptop. |

Uprev does not do etunes for forced induction.
The OP already paid good money for a full dyno tune at one of the more expensive protuner shops around, why shouldn't he go there and ask them to fix it?? If they can't/won't fix the issue so that the car runs right he should be entitled to at least a partial refund |

He said he doesn't want to ever deal with them again. So I'm taking his words at face value. If that is his preference, my suggestion is to call UpRev and see what tweaks they can make for him. It sounds like his car is operational most of the time, but the occasional hiccup is causing this limping issue.
Randy and the crew are extremely responsive guys with amazing customer service, and at the very least they'd guide him in the right direction if they won't be able to look into his logs as part of an ETune fee. It doesn't hurt to ask. There's no reason for him to put off a simple phone call. |

Problem Should be Solved
I had some conversations with MAC Autosport and all wrongs were righted, and I went back to the shop. My initial problem was apparently a misunderstanding I and was charged for something I shouldn't have been. The issue I was having apparently stemmed from a vacuum leak and a missing intake shield that should have been installed with the supercharger kit the first time around. MAC Autosport identified and corrected a few extra potential problems with the car and fixed it up right away. I am back to a very satisfied customer with MAC Autosport.

Do you have the cover over the air filter that you can see through the front opening? I was having a similar problem that was caused by the maf sensors getting different reading when coasting because the lower filter wasn't covered.
