Good to hear, that you like the results. I have intake and nismo oem ehaust probably will not do anything else but the tune. I though Uprev also adjusts the maf calibration (something that I'm looking for because my AEM electronic intake from what I can tell makes me have intermittement service light).
But interested in to see the dyno results on a limited mod car and the other adjustments that Ecutek can do. From this line of night and day difference playing with Uprev car vs Ecutek........makes me think they are able to produce more power and inturn faster car.

Time to start saving up for the switch from UpRev to EcuTek.

pricing will depend on how many folks are interested, but a ballpark is going to be in the range of 400.00 for a complete calibration including the license, which is a one time fee. Thats about 20% off our regular pricing for this.

In addition, for those want to buy a cable, we will offer them at a discount also, somewhere in the 275.00 range if we get say 20 takers

Anyway, food for thought............

I wanted to go ahead add that after several hundred miles of driving, my mileage appears to have improved noticeably. It will take a few tanks to confirm this, but I'm romping (not too hard) on it right now because its so much fun and getting MPGs like I used to get driving it casually.

Any estimate of what sort of increase we are talking about?

I would be very interested in some possible explanations for such an increase as well, but that may be something may be something Dyno would need to come in and explain.

The engine is being made more efficient - it won't take as much fuel to make the same HP. Many ppl that get a tune are going to be driving harder after the tune and MPG will probably drop. If you drive the same after the tune, MPG should go up.

The same thing happens when you give an old points/carb setup a good tune - efficiency goes up and brings along more power/MPG (depending on how you drive).

I'm not going to guess numbers until I have more data (a 3 mpg increase would be almost 60 extra miles in a tank). But usually when I romp on it during a tank, I get ~15 mpg (~17 if there's a good amount of highway miles). Add about 5 mpg to those numbers for pure casual driving (highway miles push it up even further). Because of the trip back from the tuner, I would have expected around 17 or less depending on how Joe treated her. But I'm easily getting 19-20 mpg since getting the car back, and based on my driving in that time and previous experience, that's a notable increase.

Also, I should add, my daily commute is typically full of traffic. I avoid the highways and stay on the frontage roads or other roads around 45 mph. I only have so much opportunity and space to romp on the Z. She doesn't get truly pushed unless I get her out into the hill country on the weekends.
