Not really. Asking a tuner for datalogs is like asking the chef for nutritional facts about his food.

May be insulting, but it's not going to "give away his secrets".

This is all I wanted when I asked for logs earlier in this thread.

I want to see a datalog supporting their claims that they have unimpeded control of timing and compare it against my own experiences with UpRev.

The nutritional facts are posted in the first post You're requesting datalogs which will reveal his ignition timing tables aka recipe that got him to these results.

The analogy is getting worn out now, but now, those charts are like taking a bite and seeing how it tastes without tasting the alternative first.

Those results mean nothing if he didn't try with UpRev first.

Plenty of people get huge gains over un-tuned with UpRev and have for years.

Timing traces on UpRev all kind of look the same with this car.

Showing the timing traces during those pulls to be significantly different from what can be accomplished with UpRev will prove that this software has a leg up. Otherwise that's just another dyno graph showing that a tune helps make more power, which is a given.

There is no secret to timing. You add advance until you get knock and then back it off. We just want proof that he's actually able to add that timing. Words are wind.

Also, this is spoken like someone who really doesn't know much about how tuning these cars works in the software out there.

I'm not asking for screenshots or dumps of his tables. I just want to see what the car actually did with those tables.

Totally different.

I am not trying to give John Visconti any flack if the tool works or not. I just want to know if it really does have timing control. I am working on a few things for the shop car that this could be big part making some serious naturally aspirated power. If you don't have timing control you can completely forget it about it.

From someone who has probably seen more UPREV datalogs then anyone in the country, I can see from the dyno graph that the ECUTEK def has timing full timing control. As soon as we get one in here within the next few weeks I can elaborate more.

^^^ Visconti has been with ECUTEK for a long time and him stating they have full timing control and ECUTEK releasing the software specifically with full timing control features, really should be enough.

Ha..

Not saying I want proof that there's the ability to do what they say they're doing in the tuning software.

I want proof that it's actually translating to the car doing something different with the new input.

A dyno chart showing untuned vs tuned doesn't do that for me. A simple two value log (RPM and ignition timing) would.

Oh well.
