That's crap...Glad I already had an UpRev tune NA and didn't need to consider other options when the turbo went on.

Guess I will just save up for uprev then. At least then I can have map switching.

Even though our platform is far, farr from the most profitable for them to develop, I wish they'd at least finish up basic features like map switching for the few of us who took the plunge...

*Shoulda gone uprev *

Guys, Ecutek is far from dead.

I have confirmation from Ecutek in the U.K. the 370Z platform is NOT dead. They advised they are 100% behind the platform and they are still hard at work developing the RaceROM features. They confirmed they have 2 engineers dedicated to the platform/project.

For all those who either have or thinking about going down the Ecutek route, this is a leap of faith. I for one feel very confident, based on feedback from Ecutek, in addition to the other platforms they have developed for, they will come through as they said they would.

All one has to do is look to the other platforms that already have Ecutek Advanced RaceRom features..............It's off the charts.

For me, I will be patient and look forward to the final release. Only then, will we be able to compare the feature set vs. UpRev and determine if the Ecutek 370Z platform is really dead or not.

Tiger I had the same level of faith as you did in Ecutek..but after a while hearing "yes we're developing the features, but we don't want to release it until we're sure!" for months gets old..

I actually have an issue where my timing is advancing by itself, Ecutek is aware of it, and I've been waiting for about 3-4 months now (had to drive by to my tuner for datalogs 3 times, 2 hours round trip) for a resolution. Ecutek claims its my stillen g3s and they're waiting on intakes to test on their own car as they can't reproduce it. I know there's one other 370 that does this, not sure if he's on the forum.

So meanwhile I'm just living with my idle doing it's own thing until they figure out a resolution..when they do there goes another 2 hours o gas again.

Your mods may be the issue with the ECUtek software. My stock 370z 7AT has about 3k miles on a Dynotronics ECUtek tune with no problems. Also the throttle response is perfect as opposed to the throttle response struggles mentioned in the “Smooth throttle for UPREV” thread.

@Visconti you've any suggestion on why the timing is advancing on it's own?

Is it too late to return this whole kit and get a refund? I got it with the original group buy.

You'll have to ask to see if he'll give you a refund after a year. Ecutek kinda abandoned us it seems, always the same stories but no results.

ill give it a try, it seems like its almost useless to keep ecutek for the z now, like you said it feels like they abandoned us.

There may be hope for us still it seems, Ecutek just updated their Facebook with the below post. Half a year behind the original estimate but at least they didn't forget about us.

So for all you 370Z owners out there and particularly for Ron Bartholomew Boca, we can confirm that we are moving from in house testing to beta testing for our RaceROM features for the 370Z, Skyline, Fuga, Infiniti G37, M37 and Q50 both automatic and manual. They are as follows:
Simplified Ignition Timing
High Resolution Fuel Maps (much better fuel control)
Speed Density
Custom Maps
Map Switching (Ignition timing; Fuel; SD and Custom maps)
Per-Gear Rev Limit
RaceROM Controller (Map value or map input adjustments using the cruise control buttons, so tuning adjustments can be done on the fly. Also custom boost targets will be driver adjustable while the engine is running)
Valet Mode
Oil Temp Display (This display can be hijacked to display a range of different parameters to create custom gauges)

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around.. Been working on several projects, and so has EcuTek! Anyways, the post above is correct. Over the past several weeks ecutek has carefully been making sure their new custom code was ready. Over the next few weeks a few of us will be testing on shop cars. So no you can't have it right now, but it's safe to say we all can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll be posting stuff up on Facebook and also sharing on here. Get Ready.

This is great news. When they say hijacking the oil temp display I wonder if this is the clock for the 370z since all the other gauges are analog.
