error code after motorydne

Has anyone thrown a code after installing the m370? I installed mine today, and unfortunately the top bolt on the plate didn't match up with my car so that was the only bolt that I couldn't tighten down. Aside from that everything else went smoothly. As soon as I fired the car up I checked my obdII scanner and it said powertrain and when I clicked on it it said null. Any advice would help. Is it just because the runners are longer and its a different manifold that it is throwing this?:ugh2:

I would double check the installation. I read something a while back from someone who lost power and was throwing codes because of a bad install. If you couldn't tighten all bolts (only 4 from the original 6) I would suggest taking it off and putting it back on.

it was the map sensor, I made sure before tightening all of the studs to check the hoses. It really wasn't that hard of a install....more of a pita dealing with bending over the engine bay for 2 hrs. I have 5 out of 6 studs in the car....so I dunno

I'm pretty sure the 1 missing stud is important.

It's not important worth a damn.
You'll be fine

I think so too. Between the anchor studs that hold the inner and outer part of the intake with the other 2 older factory bolts and 3 out of 4 allan studs....im sure it will be ok. That was the only hiccup. AND might I add I didn't even disconnect the coolant lines. I just took off the inner g3 tube and was able to take the tb's off with a 5mm allan socket. I lost maybe 1oz of fluid. That was a great learning experience though!

I had a plate sent to me that didn't match up at all. Then I founf the original plate and all was G2G. I had the bad install. Basically I didn't see the plate installed and had no instructions to give the shop. With no plate, there was a leak and it sounded gnarly, but it drove like complete @ss. If it's that metal plate that's misaligned, Tony will send another one if you ask. He sent mine the same day.

The plate is fine....its the top hole to the left that isnt drilled correctly

I have the same problem with the top bolt and getting P0456 (EVAP Control System Leak Detected Very Small Leak) every 100-150 miles. Everything is nice and tight on mine and the car feel strong....I don't know whats wrong also.

I talked to Tony about the issue with the top hole not matching up a couple months ago. He's aware of it, but if you got the m370 from Fred Beans or something they may not know.

Just call Tony and explain. He'll send a new one for free. It gave me peace of mind knowing everything was as it should be.

When I scan my car with Torque app it will say 'EVAP - test incomplete' or something like that, but it doesn't actually throw a code.

yeah I just talked to him right now and said that I would keep him informed of the results. He is more than willing to exchange the product if I choose to. I told him I would wait it our for right now and to see how it will work for the next week.

any issue so far?

roy'sz 04-05-2013 02:35 AM

so far the only thing I get is a random multiple misfire. I was having the lean rich codes for bank 1 and 2 sensors 1 only. My car is running extremely rich so a tune will be happening on the 19th at stillen. I did notice the evap incomplete on the dtc screen, however Im almost certain it was there after I put the hfc's on. No evap leak though and I haven't reset the ecu in approximately 500 miles or so?
