Problem with Uprev
Anybody having any problems after updating the program stuff like going into limp mode right after reflash then reflash again and it is fixed.
Also weird error messages stuff like that. And yes I called them and emailed Hans but as usual no return call or email:shakes head: |

Every now and then Randy will return an email but thats like after a week or two after its sent. I had problems with errors during updates and car sputtering after reflash... You just gotta reflash it again. |

Detect Flash Error
I'm just trying to load a tune from GTM - Osiris can connect to the ECU - it loads the tune file and then when it should start the flash process - it returns the error "Detect Flash Error" and then goes to "Searching for ECU...", and then just stays that way (I've waited up to 10 minutes).
No idea what to try next. Update: 06.14.13 I had tried all the stuff below - and, I tried disabling the IOS (as per Omar at UpRev) - nothing worked and then UpRev asked me to send them the cable for testing - it was defective - they're sending me a replacement (Thank You UpRev!) - I guess defects in these cables are very rare (which is a good thing except in the case of my experience). Stuff I had tried to get the flash to work: 1. I've tried using another computer 2. I've charged the battery - voltage is about 14 3. I've tried it while having the battery charger hooked up 4. I've tried it with the headlamp fuse removed incase the voltage drop was having an effect - I have a US car, but had daytime running lights setup at a dealership - DTRL are required by law in Canada - not sure how the dealership set up the DTRL - there is no DTRL solenoid in the box where you would normally see it 5. I've tried it with the rad fan fuse removed incase the voltage drop was having an effect 6. I've tried it after running the car for a while 7. Sometimes Cipher finds a code: P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error which I can clear (screenshot attached) - sometimes Cipher does not return any codes. 8. I've attached a screenshot off Osiris right before I click Flash ECU 9. When I click Flash ECU - it loads the tune file and then when it should start the flash process, it returns "Detect Flash Error!" for about 2 seconds, and then changes to "Searching for ECU..." and then just stays that way (I've waited up to 10 minutes to see if it would change / do anything else) 10. Every time it fails - I disconnect / reconnect the battery to reset the ECU 11. After disconnecting / reconnecting the battery, the car starts and runs fine |
If you are the only one experiencing this problem, then I would suspect a wiring problem. Check the connectors between the OBD port and your computer, inclusive. You may have damaged a pin or socket.

A friend who's car was at CIN Motorsports told me this: Yup off the dyno I got 292 whp and 256 lbs torque and then when we were taking it on the road to do the live tuner it wasn't working because uprev did a update yesterday that ****** up the program and it was saying unable to change anything so in have to go back to he can do the fine tuning with the live tuner on the road to get my fuel economy better

My real tuning also will not work after i installed the last few updates from uprev.
I have the programs on 2 different lab tops and it does the same on both. I even took my desk top out to the car the same thing happened with it ( it tell me that the programs need to be updated). I have updated it daily and not sure what to do. Any body else have these problems |
Hope someone from Uprev chimes in soon.
I'm not gonna do the update until I hear a resolve or new patch is out. |

I'm sitting on the dyno right now and my tuner said the live isn't working either.....he says the ecu is having issues holding value for the afrs also. One run it runs rich. he readjusts it, then does a pull and it runs even richer. then he does another pull and its running lean. he's lost right now and my car is now doing 16whp less then when it came in..... PLEASE HELP US UPREV! |
I went thru this b/s with Uprev before, they had a bug in one of there updates and Hans found it in a week.:shakes head:
|
Maybe this is why I have a high idle issue lol

not what I wanted to hear......:ughdance: basically 2 hours of tuning with massively negative results.... I'm back to where I was pre-tune. |

In a way it is nice to see some other people having problems like mine, which means I know it is not my car.:ugh2: |

Bugs creep into software. Happens to the best of companies.
Failure to communicate critical problems to your customers is not acceptable. Failure to acknowledge contacts from customers with bug problems is unforgivable. Is it that difficult to reply with a "Yeah. We're working on it. Don't use the software until we release the fix."? I'll be looking elsewhere when shopping for tuning software. |
wow thats shitty.. have any of you tried uninstalling and re-installing an older version of the software? or is the problem in their tune and not the actual software?
|
Damn well keep us updated. I planned on getting a tune next Sat.

Tuner and car is not that problem. I sat with him the whole time and watched. He tuned my car originally and picked up 17whp ans 22lbs of torque. Don't think a retune would be the hard part for him. He sent an email to UpRev and will be calling them Monday also. He didn't even charge me for 3 hours of his time today as he could not figure out what was going on. |

It sounds like everything is fixed now. I haven't been able to get up rev yet but plan on getting it soon. I will say this though. With the minor mods I have done without a tune there are days when I get idle issues and such, running lean or whatever. Never really had any bogging or stalling but def lean/rich issues. I think the Ecu itself is constantly remapping and adjusting for diff variables and sometimes overcompensates due to temp or whatnot. Hopefully they can work out the bugs BEFORE they publish the next update.
