You probably have to mail it to them. I'm sure they do something similar to the procedure on that Subaru forum.

I have software that will allow me to recover the ECU.

If that doesn't work there's another recovery process that can be done.

Either way you would have to mail the ECU to me

This happened to my wifes car with the HT, ECU and some thingy with the imobilers where gone $1500 in parts, Dealer did it years ago under warrenty

car has been running for 2-3 months now. ended up ordering a brand new ecu from japan.

how did you get them to do it under warranty? did you tell them you were tuning your ecu?
