That said, your idle and low throttle quality would be garbage if your stuff was that oversized, I would think. |

I know plenty of people that run E85 on other platforms with no idle issues.
If you can deal with the fuel consumption and fuel availability in your area, running E85 all the time can have its benefits, just more so in a boosted application. That said, most VQ guys have had good results with pump gas. It all depends on your wants/needs. And if you were just going to throw it in for the drag strip, I'd rather get a race gas tune - you wont consume much at the track and it has a higher, more consistent octane rating (depending on which gas you choose). Even then, I personally wouldn't do it on an NA car. Now if you are purposely staying NA and aiming for the highest power you can get, then maybe.

Meant hugely oversized injectors causing idle issues on gasoline. ie, running 1200cc (sized for e85) injectors with *gasoline* on a VQ *might* have a gnarly idle.

E85 will only be worth it NA if you rebuild for much high compression ratios over stock. If a rebuild is not in your future then its boost or bust. E85 is completely useable in our cars with injector and fuel pump swap. Talk to Phunk here on the forum. He is an amazing resource...also has a TT E85 370z that is at 520+whp that has been run for 20k miles atleast with no problems. Also every Sheetz gas station in my area is being rebuilt with E85 pumps so I get the feeling this will be the future
