Dynojet, I presume?

kellyefields 12-21-2012 03:02 PM

I believe it is but knowing what I did on a mustang dyno and then going to this one and it read lower tells me they have it set up for big hp engines. either way the dyno is just a tool to tune with. what you are after is your before and after numbers. But to give you perspective I dyno'd lower on this dyno by about 10hp than on a mustang dyno and those are supposed to be the heartbreakers?

Gmendez 12-21-2012 03:20 PM

Understood. I only ask since I will be baselining in Miami on a Dynojet and tuning in Tampa. If they have a Dynojet, I may get results that are more readliy comparable (versus, say a Mustang dyno).

What exactly are you having done. depending on where you are starting I could tell you what to expect in terms of hp because I know where i started there with bolt on parts.

Gmendez 12-21-2012 03:27 PM

Staring out bone stock (NISMO).

Then:
-F.I. LTHs
-AAM S-line mid pipe
(OEM NISMO muffler)
-M370
-HPS post MAF tubes
-K&N drop in panel filters
-UPREV/tune

How much should I expect to pay Z Fever for UPREV/full tune?

kellyefields 12-21-2012 03:48 PM

I just thought about it, Martin will do a initial pull before starting tuning so you will know exactly how is stacks up before anything is done. so we dont have to set here and guess. but I would say dont be suprised if it reads lower. I had headers cats exhaust intakes and pulley and made on 297 after my tune which disapointed me when seeing all the others out there with the same making 330 or more so dont get set on a number. all that matters is how it runs afterwards.

I would call and if you speak to doug and if he will gives you a between this and that expect the higher number. I would call first and if he does say that have him nail it down on paper before starting any work. I dont care for how he does things but because Martin is the best. but expect around 600 if I remember correctly.

Jack at HorsePower Logic. Check out their site. He is amazing and has extensive knowledge on tuning.

If anyone in the central FL area looking to get there car tuned shoot me a PM. I'm good friends with Derek at Advanced Race Technology in Sarasota and thought it would be fun to put together a Z dyno day. He's going to be installing a bunch of mods on my car and Uprev tuning the car afterwards. We will be doing baselines before each mod to get good comparison test results.
