Tuning vs SynchroRev

Is the SynchroRev Match system going to be able to handle the difference between a stock and heavily modded engine? It just crossed my mind that some mods make the engine rev quicker/slower...or at least thats what i've noticed on my 350. Will the computer learn the difference like my foot did? :icon17:

It def will. The sensor is in the base of the shifter. It should sense the perfect RPM as you downshift.

SWEET! Yet another reason to get one...

Thanks, Z

The SRM with the Stillen CAI, HFC and CBE is even better ;) I love coming up to lights and yes I have to shift down through every gear 8)

it's not the power but the gear ratios you have to worry about. If you change the gear ratios then you might have to worry because as far as I can figure it out all they did is get a formula down for if you're at this RPM in let's say 3rd gear and you down shift then this RPM is where it needs to be on the down shift according to the gear ratio difference. 500 horsepower isn't going to change that gear ratio so you should be fine !:driving:

I also have a question about the Synchro Rev Match...

No more heel toe at the track? If that's the case then I am sold.

I wish they added this feature to every MT car they sold (nissan, infinity) maybe the performance market would be more interested :)

Heal Toe still works better on the track. SynchroRev is good but it's not perfect. There are times when you're pushing hard on the track and you need to use a differential in RPM to either slow you down faster or enter a corner harder. It becomes more difficult when you're not in control.

That said the SynchroRev is brilliant for most track drivers and street driving.
