I dont want to reflash my stock ecu due to warrenty. But just for a random noob question does anyone have any experience with this in the Z

I have gone the piggyback engine management route before. there was no wore splicing needed just plug in some harnesses. despite that the driveability wasn't so great.
for the record it was a turbo xs utec for a 05 350Z. just go with a ecu reflash, can't go wrong with osiris.
