Default Automatic transmission tuning?

I just picked up a 2009 370Z with the wonderful seven speed auto. I'm quite pleased with both the fully auto mode, and the manual gear selection mode however there is a change I'd like to make, if it's possible. I want the option to start in second gear. As it is, the auto will drop to first gear at stop and will not allow the driver to upshift to second when the car is at rest. I want the ability to start in a taller gear because first gear feels rather tall making it very easy to spin the tires in the wet. I wonder if any of the tuning products out there would allow me to create a "slick road" mode. Anyone have experience with this?

Cheers,

Duddley

i dont think its possible, just make sure to ease on the gas instead of over doing it, my altima will spin its tires if i give it to much gas in the rain, just take it easy

It has a manual mode with paddles on the steering column. That should allow you to hold the car in the gear of your choice.

Thanks,

the 2009 didnt came with the option to start from the second gear only 2010 from what I remember reading somewhere.

I havent seen anything to do this on my 7AT 2009 with my Pro Tuner cable.
but only to adjust the line pressure.

Manual mode does not prevent automatic downshifts.
