Simmer down buddy.

You asked why he was being a "douche"?

You asked an open ended question and you got an answer you didn't like.

BTW, who is arguing? You came in with your résumé that no one asked about or cared about.

Douchebag post gets douchebag response.

Simple as that.

So those with built lower CR motors have pistons with deeper dish, the intake valves can travel further? Just wondering... this stuff is over my head. Still... I want neck snapping low end response.

G37Sam 10-10-2012 03:24 PM

Neck snapping low end response and low compression pistons may be a challenge to combine in my opinion

you can also have a high compression with deeper valve relief , soo yeah you could set the VVEL to travel more.

I'm not going to touch VVEL just yet as there hasn't been much testing for it yet. I'm not trying to blow up another engine. lol

Perhaps you might re-read your post. I've copied it for convenience.

And I was a master certified auto tech for 13 yrs.,and now I'm a master certified autobody tech for 14 yrs. now so I would say it's safe to say that I have forgotten more about cars than you probably know.

What in the world made you feel that was warranted?

Let see him put a GTM Ssupercharger in and tune it himself to 600 hp
He''ll tell you he has, well I just finished mine.

Sorry if I'm not impressed by slapping on a bolt-on SC. Besides, 600hp is weak sauce, especially if you aren't gonna back it up with times.

175 whp per cylinder or bust.

Oops! They're two unrelated thoughts.

Man I'm glad I'm not in my 20's anymore:icon17:

And the reason you are not impressed is b/c you don't know how to do any work on cars I've never seen a post were you actually did something.

Now I understand why so good at telling everybody what to do it is easy from the cheap seats.:tiphat:

Yeah.............. The guy had built an S2K with almost 700whp.:ugh2:

I'm FAIRLY sure he knows about forced induction.

Before someone says, "well anyone can pay someone enough money to get 700whp" I'm pretty sure Dan did a lot of wrenching on it. I mean heck, the amount of know how to keep a 700whp S2K driveable has to be a lot.

The douchery in this thread started with you, so suck it up and deal with the responses you've earned. No one cares about your mechanic accomplishments, this thread was started to give news of the new UpRev Beta Software. Go study it and tune your VVEL, report back with something useful.

Don't be so reasonable.

Maybe on your end.

This thread is all I know about. If you have beef prior, it's in your head.

Not sure if serious. I just don't swing my e-peen around like you do. I'm at least reasonably competent on cars. It's rare I even mix up gas and oil inputs anymore, and I know which way to turn a wrench too.

Anyone who has ever met me can assure you I'm even more of a douche in person. I'm around most years at zdayz if you want to get over yourself and enjoy a beer.

Most of this could be handled thru PMs.

Back to the topic of this thread....

Rusty 10-11-2012 07:32 PM

ENOUGH GUYS! I want to read about the latest on VVEL. Not two swinging dicks! :nutswinger: :nutswinger: :D

This is true, though you don't notice it much because you're too distracted by the hair :icon17:

So let's get this back on topic. I was planning on getting an UpRev tune within the next couple of months, but I think I will hold off till someone figures out how to tune the VVEL properly. Not expecting huge gains, but I'm only gonna get it tuned once so I might as well maximize the tune's potential.
