Possible problem with my UpRev

I figured I would start a thread on the problem I seem to be having with my Z. I had the car tuned about a year and a half ago and everything seemed okay but the past couple of months the car seems to be back firing/popping a lot on downshifts (sounds sick but don't recall it ever doing it) and I have really bad throttle lag once I start driving the car for a while. A few of my friends and my local shop think there is something wrong with the tune so its going in tomorrow for a re-tune. I will keep you guys posted but was wondering if anyone has had there car re-tuned due to problems like this.

P.S The shop who is doing re-tune is not the shop he did the original tune.

Have you reset your learned fuel settings? Do you have the cable to do this? I am wondering if a basic ECU reset would help with the fuel settings that the ECU may have learned over the last year... I reset mine once year as well.

Ummmm IDK? LOL. I don't have the wire, it was all done via a laptop on the dyno. Is this something I should mention to my tuner?

I don't need cable to do it.

I think he means to reset the ECU rather than just clear learned fuel settings through Cipher....

That's what I'm thinking. I'm hoping there is something wrong. Sometimes the car feels great other times its junk. I have two examples of this but its hard to mention them on this forum without getting in trouble so I will put it like this.

My Z > Brand new Boxster S

My Z < 09 370 intake only

Try it. And report back

Cracked and leaking test pipes causing bank1 and bank2 to run improper AFR. Happy that its a problem that when fixed the car will run great but pissed it happen in the first place.

Yep. I'm not going to go and start blaming FI. They may have been installed incorrectly or maybe I hit something???? IDK. The car stayed at the shop overnight and I will talk to them today and get more info. I'm happy but pissed.

Good to know what the problem is! Sad to hear it involves busted parts....
