I need your dynos and tuning info!

Hey guys, I was wondering if everyone with mods similar to mine would mind posting their dyno charts, a/f ratios, any info you have on your Uprev tunes. I just got my car Uprev'd and the tuner asked what my expectations were, he said he doubted if he could pull 10hp from the tune because Nissan was very efficient from the factory with their maps. I told him that I had seen gains from 10hp all the way to 31hp (can't remember who that was, dammit) so something in that range would be good. I was wanting it more to make sure everything was running safely and to make sure that I was getting all the performance out of my mods. I also wanted the valet, theft, and econ maps. He didn't do any of those, saying that the econ map was "all hype, the most fuel efficient map you can have is the stock one, so if you want fuel efficiency leave it like it is..."

I told him about everyone else's results that I've read about and he said that if I can find him charts and info from other people's tunes, he would take a look at it to see where others did things differently, then retune it for me for $100 flat.

I have Stillen Gen 3 intakes, a Stillen crankshaft pulley, and Fast Intention headers and exhaust. Can some of you awesome guys post up any info that might be helpful to me? I would really appreciate it, thanks!

Gains will def vary. I gained 4 WHP with I/E/manifold/TP.

No one has gained 31 whp from a tune alone on this motor.

With NO other mechanical modifications (e.g., exhaust) , a gain of 6-10 at various points is more likely, at least on a dynojet.

post some charts

I can't remember who it was or what thread I was reading, but someone had similar mods to mine, I think he also had the motordyne plenum, and had the before and after charts to prove it.

Anyway, I realize that it's a different dyno, different day. I just want to be sure I got my money's worth because honestly, he kinda admitted that he didn't do the Uprev very often, and it seemed like he wasn't extremely familiar with the program. Thanks for the info guys

This is my before chart. He somehow skipped the final chart when he put them on a disk for me.

hard to see, but looks like 295 with your bolt on's but no tune.

Something in the 305 to 315 ballpark is about right with a tune, SAE corrected on a dynojet, given those mods.

Here's my stock baseline and FI LTH, 12" res, CBE, G3 CAI sheets. I haven't had time to get it tuned yet. Went from 282 to 294 corrected, on a Mustang dyno. The guy who did the dyno runs said there is about another 10~15hp in there. We shall see when I get a turn done.

Doesn't a 12 WHP gain from all those mods alarm you, even though untuned?

I was hoping to be over 300hp. On a different dnyo. I could be. Who knows? The dyno that I used is known to read low. By how much? Don't know. When I get it tuned, and use a different dyno. We'll see.

Absolute numbers on a single dyno are meaningless, so don't sweat whether you broke 300 or not. Tune on a Mustang or a Dyno Dynamics, the numbers will be even lower but they will be able to tune more effectively.

Not bad at all for a Mustang dyno.

I'm saying the delta WHP gains of 12 is terribly low regardless of what dyno you used. Assuming you used the same dyno both times.

I did. The first dyno run was done in January. The outside temp was about 30deg. This last run was done this month. Outside temp was high 90's. I don't know how much correction he used. I'm kind of :( on the differance. I thought there would be more. BUT, it sounds good. LOL
