I myself made a big fat zero after being tuned by Kaizen, but the car drove so much better so I was happy.

Chrisslick, are we talking about the same thing?
He made 12whp from the boltons alone over stock. He should have gotten that from the exhaust by itself.

Oh, that was from bone stock base? Yeah, I guess I would have expected a little more. Hopefully a tune will bring it alive.

Well part of my problem is that the tuner didn't mess with throttle or maps or anything. I'm pretty sure he just adjusted the A/F ratio and that was about it. Does anyone have the actual tune values for their car? That's what I need

Why not just got back them and had him change the throttle values, Thats what I did, My tuner went for a long ride with me and adjusted them on the street?

Cause he thinks he knows what he's doing, but he's actually not changing very much. He's fighting me on deviating from the stock tune. Actually, I'm probably just gonna go to a different tuner later on and have them redo it, this guy doesn't do Uprev tunes very much. When I was there he was bragging about boosting a 300ZX and pushing the boost "all the way up to 6.5 psi". I was like um, that's pretty much stock bro.

I probally would have walked out right after he said that,.LOL. If you go to another tuner tell them you had an issue with the previous tune/tuner they should cut you a break..
Turbo trix in NJ did that for me once I told them I had a bad experience with Al "DynoFlash" The only chagered me a Retune price, Their tune made 40WHP and car felt a ton better.

Yeah he said that to me after he had done the car, and we were talking about what he did with the tune. There were a few things that he said that made me think twice, but at the time I thought I was just being nervous because this was my first time getting a car tuned. I had just signed a paper saying hey, if I drive your car off the dyno and total it, it's not my fault, so I thought I was just being over protective of my baby. This guy came pretty highly recommended by some other people that I trust, so I just let it go.
After this whole experience I have learned that he is very good with motors and things that he can actually touch, but not so good with the tech side of things such as tuning and electronics. Sent from my iPizzle using magic and new-fangled science stuff

And 40hp?! Holy shyte. Was that just bolt ons, or are you boosted? I've never heard of Uprev getting 40hp with bolts ons, I think the highest I heard was 31hp, and his car wasn't tuning itself right in the first place.

If the UpRev license is already on the car then they just change the hourly dyno/tech rate. Usually a total of $200-$300.

Yeah the guy I used wanted $150/hr, and $125 for a dyno pull.
