price and how long it took to tune?

Go to their site for details. There is a contact information so you can let them know exactly what you have. |

It's actually kind of nice that our engines run so rich from the factory. Gives you a lot of flexibility to end up with a safe tune that makes good power.

I am fairly certain I know the answer to this, but could a Technosquare tune remove a CEL from say, test pipes?
|
WEll I contacted them by email and I asked them how is it that Nissan Nismo engine is 350hp and is eactly the same thing as the 370 but they can only get between 10 and 12hp stock by stock.
At least they were honest to tell me that they may be able to get the same gain in HP but they need a Nismo car so they can see what changes Nissan did to bring 350hp to the engine compared to 332hp. They also gave me the price of the reflash which Im not gona discuss here, but I think Im gona wait until they can get the 350hp out of the engine stock. |

Thats the part I dont know, if Nissan claims 350hp to just the engine or if is the combination of the exhuast, cause I went to Nissan site to compare the 370 and nismo and theres nothing engine wise. The only difference is the suspension and the tune exahust and the strut bars. I did noticed they raised the rpms to 7500 instead of 7000 like the 370, which thats what Technosquare did by chaning the redline to 8000. But other than that, where is there secret for 18hp extra
|
My guess is that its a combination of both tuning and the exhaust. Say like 10hp from the exhaust and 8hp from messing with some of the parameters on the ECU like leaning out the fuel mixture a bit or a slight timing change etc.
|
Well if that the case then the ECU reflash will get you at the same level as the Nismo, after you buy the exhaust, but I want to be sure, before spend the money, cause is a lil pricey for me.
|
If all you're worried about is making 350hp at the crank like the Nismo thats really easy to do with a few bolt ons like cold air intake + exhaust or other combos of bolt ons.

Would there be any benefit to have my ECU reflashed with out a dyno tune? I noticed you can mail your ECU in with a list of what mods you have on your car, but will this even produce power. I understand that a dyno tune will yeild the maximum gains, but I don't have access to a real tune shop around here. Maybe a drive to chicago, but don't know there either. Would I be wasting $550 to get this done? Thanks for any input. Agian I know that a dyno tune will yeild the best gains.

Well now that you just said the price lol, the reason I find expensive the regular reflash with everything stock is because yes they did have to do a lot of test and programing and changing on the first car to get the gain they did. But Im a computer guy, I kow that after that setting is done, they just save that into their computers or even a flash drive. THat is why they are able to offer you the reflash, just send the ECU, they upload the basic setting, and you get your gain.
So in other words, they already did all the work and that labor got already paid off, $550 for an upload to the computer, nah, something that will take them 10mins. Now if my car is there, and they have to dyno it, change, dyno, change, etc then I understand they need to be paid for the labor. But that is my opinion, it doesnt mean Im right :) |
