09 370z stillen gen 3 error code P0300????

Bought a 09 370z nismo in Jan with a Stillen gen 3 intake. It has been throwing error code P0300 multi misfire in cylinder according to the dealer every time it rains, 6 times since Jan. Dealer thinks its a Intake issue and Stillen says its a vacuum leak or defective EGR. When I hammer on her from first to second she hesitates as though my foot is off the gas, then catches up and goes. Anyone else run into this issue? Tired of the damn check engine light turning on and the run around from the dealer. Should i take her to get tuned? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What kind of tune do you have?

how much boost 8-9?

P0300 is random misfire. It has to be affecting more than one cylinder. Definitely has something to do with air flow or fuel. Check your spark plugs as well. Buying Uprev will allow you to tune your vehicle as well as look at diagnostics. You can look at the vacuum numbers in your intake manifold, check your maf sensors, O2 sensors, and much more. If anything, it will definitely help you narrow the possibilities.

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure what type of tune she has had as she is new to me as of Jan and came with the Stillen intake. Not sure what boost means..

I was told by the dealer it is a multi cylinder misfire. Stillen said to empty out all the gas and refill with premium, but I only run premium gas. I had the spark plugs checked but am thinking about taking her somewhere else for a second opinion.

Any idea where I can get a uprev in southeast MI, this tune stuff is new to me.

I have Stillen Gen3 on my car and for almost 2 years I had no problem. The car sits in a garage about 99.9% of its life LOL, but I left it out overnight once and it got rained on and got hit with my sprinklers and I got the same code as you. The car also Idled high at 1k RPM's. I cleared the code and knock on wood I have had no problems over 1k miles later.

Look in the forums. There are a couple selling it last time I checked. I usually see tuner versions on there. One was up for $550, which is a great deal. It will come with diagnostic software. Just download the software when the cable arrives on a laptop.

I had this code pop up on me on two occasions right after a rain storm. Cleaned my MAF sensors both times and all is well.

Thanks for all the input! I am so very grateful!

I'm having the exact same issues after getting my Stillen CAI installed this weekend. How did you fix it or does anyone have any suggestions? The car sits at 1K RPM, hammering off the line in first; very slow off the line and the car hesitates for a moment before kicking in, and Service Engine Soon light is constantly on.

I checked all the pipes and tightened all the clamps. My engine also has a fast ticking sound coming from the engine. I don't remember it sounding like that when I first bought it last month. It is still under warranty and I highly doubt within a few weeks that it would be spark plugs. It definitely seems like the Stillen is at fault. I'm debating taking it off bc my car is definitely slower >3K RPMs.

Your car will hesitate if you have a check engine light on. Clean your MAFs carefully and see if it helps. DO NOT TOUCH THE ENDS OF THE SENSORS! The ticking was probably there already but more noticeable since the engine is sitting at a higher RPM. Its pretty normal for our cars. There are probably hundreds of people on this forum with the Stillens sincce it has been proven time and time again to make the most power with no issues. Its something that can be resolved with keeping the intakes. You just need to pinpoint what it is.

Just had the same problem with mine, well not exactly "just." I've been throwing po300 since i put the stillen g3 on, i haven't had decent enough weather to finish my tune, which could be the problem. Today was the first day i've seen the light blink though, and it seems from what you guys are saying that it could be the rain, as it has been storming here in Cleveland for the last 2 weeks. I also noticed if you let your car warm up for about 1 minute or 2 before you start driving the light will not come on at all.

Had the same problem I do have a solid SES light on after a heavy rain but what I have is a k&N short ram intake. I suspect it an exhaust leak with my HFC?.
Anyone had this problem fixed or resolved? In puts highly appreciated!
