Default Full Bolt Ons Uprev Tuned 7AT by SpecialtyZ

Here in Dominican Republic, hot and humid all year long, conditions outside were 83F with 77% humidity remotely tuned by Sebs@SpecialtyZ (great tuner with lots of knowledge), all runs were done in 4th gear.

The car was running pretty well with the factory map, just a bit rich at the end, from the base run I knew that there wasn't much to be done and that I had too high expectations. After base run Sebastian corrected AFR's, but it didn't do much, let it cool down for 15-20 minutes and gained 2-3whp thru the power band, later He tweaked timing tables and the car gained another 1-2whp, after that tried adding a bit more gas, but car dint like it (went back to base run numbers), this is the final Result, not really what most of you guys are putting down with similar mods but well not all cars/dynos are the same.

I'll hit the dyno again with better weather, Sebs commented that the tune would not need a change, but final results should be better. When I go back, I'll do back to back runs with the stock and tuned maps. Don't know if it was weather conditions or the fact that it is 7AT that gave me lower numbers, I really don't think better weather would yield me +10whp, I was expecting final numbers to be around 310-315hp and 260-265tq STD# as I have seen similar modded cars.

-Uprev modifications:
5 maps (Tuned, fuel efficient, Valet, Anti-Theft, Stock)
Raised transmission torque Settings just a bit, for faster shifts
Idle @750Rpm
Redline @7700Rpm
Fan Control Mod (This is a great mod, immediate difference)
Removed Speed limiter

-Engine Mods:
Art Pipes
F.I CBE 18" Resonators
Stillen G3's
NST Pulleys
Z1 25R Oil Cooler

What do you Guys think??

STD Numbers

SAE Corrected

I have found that the N/a's make more power with a 13.2 AFR through the power band.

That looks about right.

Nice, congrats

If you can get a hold of the data files from the dynoruns (drf's), and wouldn't mind sharing them, please send them to jlitman@mail.usf.edu

I keep them in a database for reference, and will be happy to make any charts you like in return.

Sent them both, Base and Final Runs.

Do you guys think there is more power to be made on this setup? or this is about as far as it gets?

I have the same exact mods except I have the Motordyne Exhaust. At Specialty Z the car put down 302 WHP and on a different day the car put down 310 WHP on the same dyno. Your numbers are consistent with mine.

What's the elevation where you are. Naturally aspirated engines lose approximately 3% of its power per 1000 feet up.

Was this with a retune or same map as before ? and What Correction Factor for your numbers SAE or STD?

Elevation:14 m (46 ft) not an issue, we are almost at sea level here.

Emailed you a few questions and also a graph that compares your results with two similarly modded Z's under similar ambient conditions.

Long story short: Your results are in line with expectations -- but make sure your AFR's aren't too lean.

Details and graph in the emails I sent.

Same map, dyno pulls were done 2 weeks apart. Numbers are STD.

I think you are right in line with what you should be seeing for your mods and locale.

Take that car somewhere at around the same altitude with temps 30 degrees f cooler, you'll pick up 5-10 easily. Correction factors don't correct 100% accurately.

I can't wait til winter to do some big numbers haha.

Yes, it seems these engines like running on the lean side.

Based on different Dynos I've seen, weather really varies performance numbers. Hot + Humid = Much Lower performance

Here's a graph comparing Full boltons untuned Vs Tuned (Thanks Jordo)

Gracias! Saludos, el etune lo hicimos (en vivo) con el carro en el dyno, cambiamos los settings y upload, es muy sencillo, te lo recomiendo si no tienes tuner de uprev alla en Panama.

Sorry for the Spanish guys!
