Not the cheapest but still a good price.

I think mine was around $500 and $200 if I come back and need a retune due to extra mods.

Thats average, I've seen them for as low as $500 for a group buy and as high as $800.

Keep in mind however you don't get the cable, if you ever plan on parting it out it'd be cheaper in the long run to buy osiris standard used for $400 then just get the dyno portion at the shop, should be $300 less since that's the price of just the license. Also lets you datalog, clear codes, etc. Really nice to have

The Osiris license is just software code, Like Microsoft windows. When you buy direct from uprev it comes on a USB-obd2 cable that allows you to flash the ecu. It also has cipher, a very useful diagnostic utility that lets you check and Clear codes, monitor and datalog engine parameters, etc. Since you have the cable you can reflash your ecu back to stock at any time and use the Osiris license on another vehicle or sell it used. When you buy it direct from uprev it's $500 but you get free email updates to the tune, if you're planning on getting a dyno tune you won't need those so just the license and cable is what you need.

If you get flashed at the shop they just load a license and tune onto your ecu, you pay full price for the license but dont get the cable. According to uprev's website the Osiris license is $300, so the dyno tune should be $300 cheaper if you already have the license on your ecu.

Shops make more profit if they flash you, but
It's a way better deal for you to buy it separately.

so just buy the license and cable and take it to the shop for dyno? How do i put the license on my ecu or do the shop do this?

So I buy this ...

http://uprev.com/secure/osiris-standard-upgrade.html

then take to shop for dyno and flashed?

No, thats for someone who already has the cipher cable, you need the $500 option. However you don't need the etunes so you don't want To buy direct from uprev. I've got a couple for sale in the marketplace for $400 I you decide To go that route.

Once you get it you just verify your ecu part # with the software, then flash the matching rom file onto the ecu. The Osiris license will be automatically transferred.
