Were you able to achieve 100% throttle as well? When my car gets tuned, I'm definitely going to try to add in these tweaks. Can you set these throttle values to one of the maps? That way I can keep this stock table for rainy/winter driving, and switch to the next map. It'll be like having sport mode!

As long as you have map switching capabilities you can have different throttle tables in all 5 of the maps and switch back n forth between them on the fly whenever you wanted to :driving:

I ran the data logger today and the car is not hitting the set A/F's. I think the min pulse is to long. Based on this all the MPG improvement are from the timing changes. More to follow.

What are your timing tables set at?

plus 2 and plus 4 units of timing, 93 octane fue

pokeyl 06-21-2012 03:27 PM

Just talked to uprev, you put in the A/F target you are looking for, and you should get a CEL if you don't hit your target. You ajust fuel trim to hit the target. I should be kicking out CEL's but I am not. ???? I will be starting over.

At least the timing changes work.

I get my replacement ECU tomorrow morning and then off to the dyno for tuning. I am going to see if it is possible to run one map with etc on and another with it off. I haven't even seen the software yet, so I am running blind till later on. I am sure the tuner is going to be sick of my questions, lol!

The ETC control effects the entire tune, its not like the fuel, timing, or rev/speed limiter controls which are map specific, there's only one setting for all 5 maps. Same thing with the code deletion and fan engagement temp settings

zguynate 07-09-2012 08:19 PM

Hey pokey would you mind posting your current timing table?

roplusbee 08-04-2012 12:19 PM

So turning ETC off killed pretty much everything. Dave was able to adjust the torque table and that made it so that VDC was less invasive. Now I just have to get a cable and figure out which license upgrade to purchase so that I can remedy my pig rich condition. Cold/warm start it poor as well. Good luck contacting UPREV and getting a straight answer. I spoke with Rich about either getting tuned @ UPREV or getting a cable and license upgrade and he told me to email him. That was Tuesday and no response yet..............

Done and Done. Rich is cool and all but he does get distracted easily and isn't the best at following up with people... lol

God, all this tuning talk makes me want to buy my cable right now. Gotta save up for it :( This all makes me sad, cause the tuner that did my car only changed A/F ratio to 13.1 and timing I think +1, and that was about it. He didn't do maps or anything... Now I just want to learn to do it myself and save some money.

My only concern is blowing the motor lol. I just have to take it slow. I hope you guys don't mind when I start asking 4.5 metric tons of questions!

What tables do you ajust the timing in ?
do you bump it 2 or 4 degress.
im new at this as i went from my wicked Cobb tune to uprev, because of the GTM tranney had to have an un prev flash.
Can you flash the tranney with uprev and put the cobb back on the ECU.
thanks

Z

I have some new software where I copy and paste my timing map and it shows me the table in DBTDC

I don't think you will need the Cobb once you get use to tuning with Uprev.

Timing is pretty fickle on our cars tho. It will only actually add that timing if the knock sensor lets it.

In my car it is highly dependent on IAT and ECT whether I see -27deg or -17.

They are,but for some reason even thou mine is FI it likes alott of timing till about 6k then it makes more power when the timing is pulled back after that.

That corresponds to a VVEL event I'm pretty sure. Check out the logs sometime

I will log and ck it but I didn't have the VVEL changed when I went to Z1 for my dyno pulls.

Hello everyone. I just got my stillen supercharger installed. I got a custom tune and they used up rev. They were able to squeeze 385whp from a mustang dyno. The problem is that I have to pump the gas while pushing the ignition button for it to start. Also my brake light and vdc off light comes on when I accelerate hard. I took it to the runner and he said that is normal. Now i don't think that is normal. What do you think?
Also my computer that reads the temperature outside does not work either.

No that's not normal all of those things work in my car,I would go back to the tuner and check the cranking enrichment settings that solves alott of problems with pumping the pedal on start up.

Has anyone discussed raising the upload size limit with Admin? He/she may be able to limit by file extension, so that only files with the proper ext have a higher limit.

If y'all can give me some idea of how much storage and bandwidth is needed, I'll consider hosting the files on the server I rent. Easiest and most secure for me would be Anonymous FTP. Other than space/bandwidth the only real concern I have is dealing with ppl uploading trash. If you have a small group, I would be willing to setup a few FTP accts, which would limit the possibility of trash uploads.

I might be talked into installing a file-sharing app (Linux. Redhat, IIRC), but depends on how easy it is to install and how secure (to the host system) it is.

Ie, I'm willing to help if it won't harm my server or take too much of my time.

I just purchased the Tuner version of Uprev, but my Rom folder is empty. Where do I get the Rom to load?

Call Uprev tomorrow with your ECU serial # and they will give you a stock ROM and a back to stock Rom.

NickBaragona 09-09-2013 07:47 PM

Sounds good, thanks.
