With your exhaust and intake idea's, you'll definitely see some gains on the Dyno.

My only observation, not a critique, is if you are planning to get a full CBE and CAI, is it really necessary to get the MAF tubes and short tails right now, to then spend more for the other parts... It's kind of a 'why spend twice for the same thing' sort of mentality vs just saving and getting what you want the first time.

Hopefully we'll see you at some of the PA meets one day.

Maybe not doing the short tails and buying the FI test pipe for sale in another thread for $100 from a member located in philly is a better idea, I sent him a reply saying I would take it.

The MAF tubes & filters are so cheap and I don't think they will hurt.

Thanks for the advice.

The Intakes and Test Pipes will help beef up your exhaust note the same as the short tails would. So you won't really lose anything sound wise, which is all the short tails give you. Performance gains are minimal at best. Every now and then an F.I. CBE comes up for sale used.

Since I was bored and had nothing better to do, I went through the for sale section and found these threads:

K&N Drop Ins: K&N Drop In filters

K&N Drop Ins: >>> K&N Air Filters 2 NIB $100+shipping

HPS Post MAF Tubes: HPS post MAF tubes

Stillen Gen III's: Stillen Gen 3 Intakes [Socal]

F.I. Resonated Test Pipes: F.I. Resonated TP's, SPC Front Camber Arms

F.I. Resonated Test Pipes: FI Resonated Test Pipes 700 miles!

AAM Short Tails: AAM Short Tails

Thread items aren't marked as sold so you can start with these. (Notice the price on the short tails, 1/4 the price of a new CBE for tails. )

I am looking forward to having some fun with the "Z" and feel pretty lucky you were able to get me in so quick. As well as having a tuner just a few miles from me.

Thanks for all your help and great customer service the other day.
