Found these guys through the UpRev website. Any body had any experience with this shop? If not, any reputable shop you'd recommend to get UpRev done around/near San Diego,CA? Thanks.

I don't know anyone personally but if they're an uprev protuner they should be able to take care of you no problem, they've been pretty good at only signing up decent shops so far. Or there's a guy in the marketplace selling a copy of the tuner version if you wanted to save a little money and try it out yourself. When you get it done at a shop you don't get a cipher cable or anything, and there's no residual value when you sell the car, whereas buying it direct you can resell it used to another guy

I have met these guys (HG Motorsports) at various events around SD and they have a history with the Z platform. I am not sure if they currently do Z tuning, but it may be worth checking out. Very nice guys to boot.

You could drive up to Specialty Z. That's what I did from SD. Or just select the stock map and call it a day.

Will the car pass smog with the stock map selected? When they do a tune, which map is usually the stock one? Been a while, I forget what my 5 maps are, always left it at #1...
