sprint booster DIY install
I'm convinced this is the way to go. Tired of the sluggish throttle response on my 2010. Plan to install it myself. Anyone got pics or instructions how to remove the cover behind the accelerator pedal?
Thanks in advance. |

Sprint Booster does in fact work
You are incredibly wrong about that. Buy one. And then see if you think the same thing. And, you cannot just push the pedal down faster. That statement tells me people have no idea how a drive by wire vehicle operates. It's not one to one metal linkage like a race car. Your TBI's are programmed to have a max opening rate no matter if you drop a bowling ball down on the pedal. The SB changes the resistance allowing the TBI's to open at a much faster rate. They work even better when you have a full exhaust and good intake system but those are not necessary. They do not add horsepower and they do not add top end miles per hour. However if you want to be quicker in the quarter mile, spend the money and return it if you don't see the difference.

Used the sprint booster on my z for maybe 7k miles and although it definitely did help under full load and faster shifts, during daily driving, it didnt reduce the throttle response time what so ever. It simply exaggerated the response so for example, normally 10% throttle would be close to 40% throttle on the red or race mode. Was tuned with Ecutek and was able to produce the same effect except more to my liking and the tune also seemed to reduce response time.
