Uprev Stock + Limp

Is it possible to purchase an Uprev so that it has Stock + Valet without taking your ride in for a specific tune? Moreover, what exactly comes with the stock settings?

My main reason for the Uprev is that I am paranoid when I take my car in for servicing. I caught one of the tire jockeys cruising my car around the parking lot so that the TPM light would turn off. I believe the only reason he didn't stand on the gas was because I pulled in right when he was "getting the light to turn off". :ugh2:

So, it would be a piece of mind if I could get the Uprev w/ valet and get a tune later.

Thanks in advanced guys!

UpRev provides 5 maps, and one of them can be a valet setup. You don't need to use the same tune on all maps.

So right out of the box it comes with 5 different tunes? Stock, X, X, X, and Valet?

You can only make your own (5) maps with the Tuner license, the Standard license just lets you load roms containing 5 maps that other people have pre-made for you (UpRev, or an UpRev-licensed tuner), and run Cipher for datalogging. With the Tuner license, you can open the ROM Editor and do whatever you want to the 5 maps, and the Valet/Security modes are just common names for what some people do with two of them for mph/revs limits.

Just a thought, but if the dealer finds out you have an UpRev Tune, you might be denied other warranty work on the engine components.

I don't think any reasonable dealer would take that stance, unless there was an obvious casual link (e.g. the UpRev map was tuned poorly and caused detonation, damaging the engine). In any case though, you keep a copy of your stock ROM as well, and reflashing back to stock only takes a few minutes :P
