Just would like to remind that Wstar Original Throttle MAP was designed for Autocross.
That is why he called his MAP Smooth/Linear. The reason why he created his is to make the throttle predicatable. If we put the cars power or response base from Low-Mid-high RPM the transition of power from each ranges is seemless. If I put it in number it is like this. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 See the distance from each number? This is linear so the throttle can be controlled evenly without disturbing the suspensions balance. So to compare Wstar vs my Map is unfair to him. I did not make my MAP for autocross, but for Drag race or more street tuned. If i have to put it in number it looks like this 1***2*3*4*5*6*7**8***9***10 I could tweak this a lot better and more precise if I can only have a G37 tune file to work with. My throttle maps came from EX35 crossover siimilar to VQ35HR engine. Some members says my throttle improved their car's response some did not feel a thing. As I said it again, I can be more precise if I can get hands of a G37 tune file that I can experiment. And if my MAP is being used for entertainement purpose and seems to be working for you. Just ran the "power map" on my bolted G37x sedan over the weekend and relly liked it !
car pulled hard and the throttle seemed a bit more responsive.

What RPM do you feel the pedal gets tighter(harder) where the torque seems to start? Another member with a 370z says his was at 2.2K RPM. ![]() That is great! I would like you to test #3 first AWGD8-modified 2 Then Awgd8-Power Pls. let me know what you think? Also drive at least a few days so the car adjust first (tranny etc) then maybe the 2nd or 3day see if there are changes in throttle feel. I really need some feedback so I can make this better. |

I just tweaked my half throttle AFR (1/4-1/2 pedal push- @10-17 BFS/2,000-7kRPM) and made it to hit at 1:13.5 AFR or low 13's, and made a huge improvement to the pedal response.
Some times our tuners are more concentrating on WOT AFR and leave this lower BFS at 14.7 AFR. We do not care about gas mileage on POwer Map setting. =) Keep in mind tweak your half throttle AFR for performance too! Preferably 1:13.5 AFR or low 13's and not 14.7 if you want power! Is this something I have to ask my tuner about ? I have to send some logs over to my tuner this weekend, Z1 mani and ported lower intake and would like to add this in also. I'm on the the POWER map now. BTW like it! out ran a S4, X6( Twin Turbo+ I had 2 people in the car) and Mustang GT

I am working with one of the members here, but he has a 370Z 6 speed Manual. I gave him all my throttle tables to test. I also made a custom (came from his stock throttle table) and designed it to have an aggressive throttle table specific to his car. The most responsive throttle feel is actually the ETC Off for Manual tranny, but he likes to have traction control so I made him an aggressive map off his stock throttle table. Sorry, I did not answer your question, yes! You have to tell your tuner to give you an aggressive performance map even half throttle. He can tweak your target fuel and adjust fuel comp to be more on the rich AFR side (13.5 on half throttle) instead of 14.7 I did feel the difference just by changing this area of the map.
