While this doesn't seem to be like a horrible mod, I am showing it online for around $450 (tirerack). I really didn't check to see if it can be had for cheaper online.

At that price point, I can't see why you wouldn't go with UpRev Osiris Standard. It's about $50 more, but you get a more custom email tune with it. I can't see this method being much further away from a pro tune. Seeing as how you can't tune timing much and all you're really "tuning" is your AFR (correct me if I am wrong please).

Like I mentioned towards the beginning.. this is geared for those that do not have any shop close by. If you can get a hold of a Hypertech for the price I paid for (which is around $300) or possibly less.. I don't see any negative impact of owning one as I have first hand experienced. UpRev will definitely be a huge step up, but I don't think you'll see one of those going on market even from any member for less than $300 because people tend to keep them (custom tune always > canned tune).

Well, for $300, it's worth it then.

I was just saying for thr price I saw of $450, you can buy the uprev cable and do email tunes. No "custom" tuning really and you can do it anywhere you want.

Contact vendors on the forum. Its cheaper then the price advertised.

Not busting your balls but uprev tuning is more complex than just sending your ecu and list of upgrades. Data logging .. etc.. etc.. could be a hassle and more of a hassle when doing warranty work where stealership might check for stock ecu.

When I drove our 09 370z stock then tuned car. I noticed throttle response and the dead spot feel in the peddle was gone.

Interested in this mod but would like to see dyno's. Any time frame on when you might get around to doing one?

I agree. I am hoping you guys make it possible for the module to let the consumers do a bit more custom. For instance.. balancing a/f w/ intake only.. or exhaust only.. or exhaust + intake.. or exhaust + intake + headers... And so on.. I see a good potential of the carbeing able to gain 5-10 more to the wheels.

I'm hoping soon. I'm still trying to find the time to sneeze that into my schedule. I'll post an update as soon as I get the car dyno'd before and after the flash.

I bought a used one for $280. It was worth it just for the better throttle response. I doubt if there is much a of hp/tq gain and the small amount there is wouldn't make much difference. I got it for the throttle and it was worth it to me. I'm not willing to travel 4 hours away and spend $700 for an uprev which will get me just a few more hp/tq.

I'm glad you're having a positive experience as well. What bolt ons do you have? The nitto invos are getting bald pretty quickly.. quicker than the softer stock bridgestone lol.. My driving habits had been very bad for the last 4 tanks of gas. Im pretty sure it'd be worse if I had gotten an UpRev. :shakes head:

They are in my signature....just the basic stuff for now. Yep...gas mileage tends to go down for me :driving:

Wait, why would you send them your ECU? You order the cable, dl the standard osiris program and flash it? Sure there is a hassle of sending logs via email and reflashing, but I think it may be worth it no?
